The exhibition “IMAGINARY MEDIEVAL FLAGS” is an event recommended by Intell News Romania in English(media partner), consigned by Claudiu Victor Gheorghiu, September 21, 2024

Press release, September 20, 2024, Bucharest

PARLIAMENT PALACE, INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CENTER, “CONSTANTIN BRANCUŞI” EXHIBITION HALL invites you to visit the visual art exhibition IMAGINARY MEDIEVAL FLAGS 2024, the 3rd edition, which will be open between October 1-31, 2024, at the Hall of Exhibitions, “Constantin Brâncuşi”, 2-4 Izvor street, sector 5, Bucharest.
"The exhibited works reflect a multitude of views on heraldic imagery and propose approaches in various techniques, from fabrics in the traditional haute-lisse technique or fabrics in newer techniques such as felting or mechanical embroidery, to painting on canvas, painting on glass, digital collage, woodcut on canvas, tempera painting on wood, hand print. Many of the works are made in mixed media. The shapes of the compositions presented in the 3rd edition of the project are reminiscent of the shield which is the main element of a coat of arms, but also of the flag. On these surfaces, from different materials, the artists represented, interpreting heraldic symbols in a contemporary key. Some of them only suggested such symbols, using the suggestions from heraldic art only as a pretext or as a starting point for creating unique images, with varied shapes, colors and textures, free expressions of their vision.” (Phd. Luiza Barcan, critic and art historian).

Press release:

Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery presents "The shape of water," an exhibition signed Iulian Vîrtopeanu.
The opening will take place Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery, Calea Victoriei 132, Bucharest.
The origin of life starts from water. Water is a main link of primordial life and of the present life. Water springs from the depths of the earth, flows into the great sea of the planet, evaporates and gets rich with the light and the heat of the sun, to condense in the form of clouds and fall back to the earth in the shape of raindrops and snowflakes. It is the binder of the planetary ecosystem and of the life.
Masaru Emoto, a Japanese scientist, researched the water and demonstrated that this has consciousness, memory and awarness, it is in a a permanent energetic dialogue with the form it wears inside, with its sound and its spirit.
My works are the expression of a personal poetic vision of a visual nature, through which I tried to pay an homage to this attribute of life called WATER.

The exhibition “Scenes from a Woman's Life” at the Galateea Contemporary Art, 132, Victoriei Ave, Bucharest, Romania, between March 6th to 31st, 2024. Is an art exhibition recommended by Intell News Romania in English(media partner), consigned by Claudiu Victor Gheorghiu, February 29, 2024

Press release:

The Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery is pleased to invite you to the terracotta sculpture exhibition Scenes from a Woman's Life, created by the artist Elena Lot Vlad (1956-2021).
The exhibition can be visited from March 6th to 31st, 2024.
But who was Elena Lot Vlad?
In a series of works of substance, coherence, vigour and full of tension, Elena Lot Vlad makes the earth rustle with life. What we see here in a forest of sculptures, in an island of different things, is something that touches both the pictorial side - with a finger dipped in clay- and the sculptural side. Sculpture, colour and the human body on Corinthian capitals. Observation and naturalism. We see an artist healed through poetry who appeals to the cultural functions of clay, that specific and universal clay.
Her characters perhaps resemble Brigit, the Celtic, pagan goddess and then Christian saint, who was associated with healing and crafts. Patroness of poets and healers, mother, protector, Brigid remained bound to the land for which she was responsible.
"For you I wanted to be the most beautiful", "For you I put on a new dress" she made the clay say to her beloved husband in the frankness of her confession. We all know that we are made to live and die. Yet since she disappeared, he has been mourning her; he, the husband with whom she was synchronous in a vast beach of readable or subtle knots and connections. Aurel Vlad, her broken-hearted husband - here - brings before our eyes, much like a huge wave, the works of Elena Lot Vlad.
What I would say about her life and death is that neither resembled those of the people around us.
Elena Lot Vlad chose a path that she walked alone, always alone, even if, thanks to her charisma, people always surrounded her with love.
The bearer of this pseudonym, Lot, the friend of all her former colleagues, died at the age of 65.

A short life, but...even an hour can be more important than a week, can't it?
