Around this period, 6 years ago, we went on a 3000 km road trip, to visit a little Island called Elafonisos.
A greek colleague of mine said if you want to see where the greeks go on the weekends for sun bathing, crystal water, then this the place to see.
In 2017 sustainability wasn’t even a thing but here is a way o living.
Fishing just enough to suppy the 2-3 restaurants on the island and the rest was sold to the locals to prepare a family dinner.
I’m not even gonna answer the question “was it worth it?”
I’m just gonna say a small tight friendly community of just 1000 people greeting you every morning and smiling, moreover inviting you to take part to their Easter Dinner with their family and friends, that’s just priceless.
The fresh seefod, stunning white sand beaches and turquoise waters was just a bonus.

Constantin Brancusi, sculptor, pictor si fotograf roman, care a facut cariera in Franta. Considerat de criticii de arta ca parintele sculpturii moderne.
Desi devenise celebru in Occident, a revenit acasa, pentru a omagia vitejia soldatilor gorjeni, cazuti la datorie in Primul Razboi Mondial. Astfel, intre anii 1937-1938 a realizat sculpturile celebre:

• Masa Tacerii
