✨Fedora by Umberto Giordano brings a whirlwind of passion, intrigue, and lyrical brilliance to the from December 12 to December 22, 2024. In a monumental first, tenor Roberto Alagna takes the stage for his debut opera role at GTG, opposite his wife, the exceptional soprano Aleksandra Kurzak, as they embody the fiery duo of Fedora Romazoff and Loris Ipanoff. This operatic thriller revives the grandeur of Russian exiles and aristocratic drama, with echoes of past legends like Caruso and Callas who have brought this masterpiece to life.

Alternating with this power couple, the intense partnership of soprano Elena Guseva and tenor Najmiddin Mavlyanov brings further depth and allure, as they reprise their celebrated collaboration from La Scala.

Conductor Antonino Fogliani leads the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, continuing his tradition of stellar Italianate interpretations, while Arnaud Bernard’s directorial debut at GTG offers an immersive production, blending luxurious Petersburg palaces, Parisian splendor, and the glamour of Gstaad’s opulent halls.
