Kahit holiday, sembreak, Sabado, maging Linggo, mayroon kang diskwento!

Alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 11314 o ang Student Fare Discount Act, makatatanggap ng dalawampung porsyentong (20%) diskwento sa pamasahe ang mga estudyante na sasakay sa mga pampublikong sasakyan katulad ng Public Utility Buses (PUBs), Public Utility Jeepneys (PUJs), taxi, at iba pa mula Lunes hanggang Linggo, maging tuwing holiday at sembreak.

Sa ilalim ng naturang batas, kwalipikado sa diskwento ang mga mag-aaral mula sa elementarya, highschool, technical-vocational, at kolehiyo basta't mayroon itong dalang student ID bilang patunay na siya ay "enrolled" na estudyante.

Samantala, kung mangyaring ipagkait sa estudyante ang nasabing diskwento, maaari nila itong idulog sa Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) at Department of Transportation (DOTr) upang mapatawan ng karampatang parusa ang sinumang lumabag sa batas.

Dinepensahan ni Deputy Majority Leader for Commmunicatons Hon. Erwin Tulfo si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. kaugnay sa patutsada ni dating Presidente Rodrigo R. Duterte na naglalakwatsa lang umano sa kanyang mga foreign trips gamit ang pera ng bayan.

"Pangulo goes to other country to get investments, to secure investments... Bawat administrasyon kanya-kanyang strategy and the purpose of their trips is to arbor investments," sabi ni Tulfo sa press conference ngayong Huwebes, Marso 14.

"Kanya-kanyang diskarte, hindi lang naman po si pangulong Marcos ang ganung byahe po may mga previous administrasyon po before him na marami din pong byahe" dagdag pa ni Tulfo.
