BEING FLEXIBLE IS NOT FITTING IN AS MUCH CRAP AS AS LONG AS IT FITS YOUR CALORIE BUDGET ๐
To me being flexible with your nutrition is still prioritising whole foods. This ensures you're replenished at all levels in terms of your overall health and wellbeing and youโll enjoy better recovery from your workouts.
Being flexible is enjoying that chocolate bar, that glass of wine and that meal out with no fear and no guilt. And that is totally fine provided most of your diet is made up of whole foods.
Being flexible is not allowing a higher calorie meal or that treat turn into a full on binge episode because in your mind โis all ruined so I might as well carry on and get back on track next weekโ.

I feel people get flexibility wrong...
"I'll eat what I want as long as it fits my calories"...
Yes, you can do that and lose weight but I can guarantee you won't feel good and you'll put your health at risk.
Whatever style of eating you follow, make sure you approach it with your health and wellbeing in mind.

This is something that comes up so so so often! I talked about this on my stories many many times and continue to do until it sinks in. You need to be in a deficit in order to lose weight but there's a MASSIVE difference between a deficit of 300 - 500 calories and a 800 +.
The idea is to get you to lose weight in away that allows you to perform and enjoy energy and good mood. And it is possible, is just going to take you a little longer but is totally worth it! What's the rush?
A few weeks ago I suggested a coaching client a calorie target of 1750 calories for weight loss. She was shocked! She thought it was too high and she replied: Ok, I will try that and perhaps in a few weeks I can go down to 1200 to boost a bit.
And this is the issue. People believe the only way they can lose weight is via starvation, suffering and pain. No wonder they give up and put the weight back on. Not to mention, when you severely under eat to lose weight, you're literally burning away your muscle mass...no wonder you complain you can't "tone up"...well....
You don't need punishment to lose weight! STOP that mentality, is really not serving or helpng you towards long term results!
