After 3 years living in Lisbon we finally made it down to Albufeira in the Algarve. We lounged at the beautiful beaches, kayaked to the spectacular Benagil Cave, enjoyed delicious seafood and had lots of fun with friends! A perfect, quick getaway from Lisbon for the summer.

Dublin is the first city we have scouted to live where English is the official language. As a huge tech hub, the city attracts people from around the globe and is considered very safe with some of the friendliest people in the world. We lucked out during our visit and had mostly sunny days, enjoyed lots of Guinness and learned about the history of Ireland at the museums, monuments and Cathedrals. After many whiskey tastings, neither one of us developed a taste for it but it wasn’t for the lack of trying. Our hotel in Vienna was right near Belvedere Palace, we read there was a Christmas market behind it and lucky for us it snowed the night before when we visited. We entered the garden and walked through a Winter Wonderland up to the palace. It was truly magical. ❄️🏰 Unfortunately, we didn't have time to buy tickets and enter the Palace but we did grab a quick bite to eat at the cute Christmas market.

The Spittelberg Christmas market was a little difficult for us to find down a side street. It's a dreamy little market and worth the hunt though! There were fewer tourists, more locals and the BEST kartoffelpuffer (potato pancakes) of any of the markets. Spittelberg was unique from the others being nestled amongst stores down alleyways with an eclectic mix of arts and crafts.

The Viennese Christmas Market is one of the hot spots of the pre-Christmas season. It has over 100 stalls making it the largest and oldest market in Vienna. The beautiful City Hall in the background is absolutely stunning during the day and at night...we actually went back a third time 🥰⛄🌲🎅
Among some of our favorite foods here were the 'Arancinis', typical stuffed rice balls. Yummy!
