22.000 quilómetros, uma entrevista inteira perdeu-se… excepto duas perguntas (1 minuto e 20 segundos).
Já perto do final da entrevista, o Director de Projecto, o arquitecto Andrea Toccolini (do atelier Kengo Kuma & Associates), reparou que a câmara não estava a gravar — tinha-se desligado. Colocou-a novamente a gravar, mas esta desligou-se outra vez. Alguns minutos depois, apercebeu-se de que tinha voltado a parar.
Depois disso, disse que ficaria junto dela para impedir que acontecesse novamente.
O editor da House Details, o arquitecto Nuno Teixeira, faz então a primeira pergunta que efectivamente ficou gravada. Deste modo, conseguiu-se registar a resposta completa, bem como a pergunta seguinte e a respectiva resposta.

Esta entrevista não era para o livro que recentemente fizemos sobre Kengo Kuma, mas para um outro.

22,000 kilometres, an entire interview was lost… except for two questions (1 minute and 20 seconds).
Near the end of the interview, the Project Director, architect Andrea Toccolini (from Kengo Kuma & Associates), noticed that the camera was not recording — it had switched itself off. He started it recording again, but it switched off once more. A few minutes later, he realised that it had stopped again. After that, he said he would remain beside it to prevent it from happening again. The editor of House Details, architect Nuno Teixeira, then asks the first question that was actually recorded.
In this way, it was possible to capture the complete answer, as well as the following question and its respective answer.

This interview was not for the book we recently produced on Kengo Kuma, but for another one.

This is an absolutely beautiful book, created with the utmost rigor, with fantastic exclusive content, about a work by master Kengo Kuma, that represents Portugal. Every possible question was asked, so that readers could properly evaluate the project. With generosity and patience, every question was answered (three interviews in total).

✨Our customary thank-you video (sent by newsletter in PT on the 30th). ✨
