APHOTICA invites TÖRIA for a new release: 'Timeline EP'

There's a touch of madness in the way she entices us to her music - TÖRIA is a pro on handling heavy machinery to provide us with raw, industrial, obscure sounds. And we love it!

Inspired by dark ambience noises, she's now devoted to bringing harder soundshapes to her heavily emotional tracks, often exploring feelings of brutal thoughts and insanity. This EP is the outcome of it all.

TÖRIA is supported by international labels like .scene, and Istigkeit, and has recently cofounded her own, OCCULT Records (.rec), being also a key figure in the future of underground raving in Algarve.

No presentations needed, Række brings us a fast-paced mix with a vintage feel, a hardtechno set with a touch of the 90s.

The Argentinian DJ and producer, currently based in Porto, is no stranger to Lisbon’s techno scene. You’ve probably danced to his powerful and groovy sets at Ministerium, LAV or NĀDA, and if not yet, most likely you will soon.

LAINX is the chosen alias of a Lisbon based hard stomper with influences from London’s underground scene. Their sets are ought to be personal, raw and intense, flowing between Hardcore, Trance and Acid but never taking one style for granted.

APHOTICA invites Lady Maru, a legendary multitalented artist from Rome, now based in Berlin, for a highly energetic release ‘Illegal Rave Shuttle’ EP!

Lady Maru started out as a guitarist in a post-punk band, before starting to DJ in clubs and raves and producing electronic music.

Today, her premise is a fast-paced combo of art punk and techno, often marked by acid leads and industrial sounds with a touch of EBM and hardcore.

The mothership took off. Behind the wheel there's the legendary selector and producer Lady Maru captain for this 3-track interstellar ride.

First stop is “F**ked Up System”. Population: hard hitting drums and cyber leads with determined vocals and high energy percussion riding along. You can already tell its influences on early hardcore, gabber and techno.

Next stop: “90’s Assault”, the ride is not so long now but it’s getting out of hand - time and space are out of our control and we’re back to raving in a non-licensed warehouse where the sirens lets us know there’s no turning back but to keep following until the final stop.

“Sick Discovery” ends this crazy but fulfilling ride with acid leads and heavy stomps, a psychedelic journey that if not taken with caution can dangerously damage our perception of reality and make us dance funny.

APHOTICAST #1: TAXSH

Our natural evolution led us to create a new series of mixes where artists we admire will curate a full hour set just for your own sensorial enhancement. Be ready!

To start the APHOTICAST series with nothing but pure passion, we feed you a fast-paced sensual podcast by local artist TAXSH.

TAXSH is a Portuguese artist born in Switzerland. Her work as a DJ focuses on using her musical expression to satisfy a need for self-knowledge and self-realization, body, mind and spiritually/energetically wise. Her art feeds on physical and metaphysical elements from which she forms a bridge for her artistic path and development.

She materializes and externalizes this exploration through a fusion of elements marked by Hard Techno, Industrial Techno, Acid, Trance and Hardcore, creating an uplifting ‘cresciendo’ flow that only gets harder and harder through her sets. It’s a full circle when all the pieces of her Metamorphosis process come together, to dance.

She started in 2019, at the instrumental Violence collective, in Coimbra. Since then, she usually plays at parties/venues such as ARVI+, Nada Temple, Núcleo A70, TugaNaturaBarreiro, Arroz studios, Rádio Quântica, Rádio Ophélia, Plantasia, among others.

It’s Angel Karel’s signature as the founder and director of 'TFIF Events' collective, standing for 'The Future is Female', which has brought s*x positivity, punk rebellion and anticonformist freedom to the heart of the underground q***r scene of Lyon.

These series of events - [NO GENDER] and [SCUM] - reached their full success in only a few years, having sold out most of its editions and having crossed borders to collaborate with labels and collectives like Gegen Berlin from Berlin and Rubber Mind from Bogotá.

Angel Karel's sets seem to cause a relentless need to dance with a purpose, to rave as a means of resistance and to open our spirit to a more inclusive and nonconformist society! Known for throwing aggressive kicks to the dancefloor dotted by emotional melodies, her sets are often followed by exotic dancers who perform in a dark industrial setting.
