I am deeply saddened to learn this morning the loss of 15 of my cousins, including innocent children in the recent Israeli airstrike on their home in the Al-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza.

Israel has taken the lives of my relatives twice, first by bombing their home without warning, and the second time by denying them timely medical assistance, as some could have been saved with prompt access to emergency services.

Israel has further contributed in their deaths by cutting off communication and internet in Gaza, preventing access to medical care.

Enduring these painful times and witnessing Israel’s daily atrocities against Palestinian civilians is exceptionally difficult. I hope we can find strength and solace during this challenging period, and may the souls of our loved ones rest in peace.

Since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza, I have lost more than 31 family members and many friends and neighbors. The deep grief I feel is overwhelming as I recall all the beautiful memories with my cousins and friends that remain etched in our hearts. 💔

This is shocking. People are having to be displaced from one place to the next. No where for them to go. This is a family that had to evacuate with a hospital bed! This is insanity.
