In Hindu or Yogic traditions, mahasamadhi, the great and final samadhi, is the act of consciously and intentionally leaving one's body at the moment of death. According to this belief, a realized and liberated yogi or yogini who has attained the state of nirvikalpa samadhi can consciously exit from their body and attain enlightenment at the moment of death while in a deep, conscious meditative state
The album Mahasamadhi is the result of a collaboration between two artists; Tomasz Borowski, who performs under the alias Fomalhaut, and Ben Powell, known for his dark ambient project Llyn Y Cwn.

The material was created by Ben based on tracks provided by Tomasz to convey to show the listener what they think it can look like to reach the state of mahasamadhi, the music is intentionally meditative and trance like.

Do not seek Mahasamadhi as an end to your suffering. To seek Mahasamadhi means to see
how to evolve life to another dimension.

Epic dark ambient / noise / industrial journey by Icelandic artist Dauðaþráhyggja which translates as 'Death Obsession'.

'Death Obsession' is a mindmelting, overwhelming, cathartic and hypnotic body of work that needs your attention and deep listening ears attuned to the maximum capacity, and is completed with some very striking artwork realised by D//O over the last few years.

Combining dark ambient, death industrial, tense synth melodies, meditative noise walls and biting chaos, with a few elements of surprise, sinister turns and beautiful twists as we move through, until we get to the highly emotional closing piece which is centred around minimal rumbling drone sounds and sombre but slowly uplifting piano refrains.

Aaaaaarrgghh!!! Jak Szwecja to tylko w mrokiem cieknące dźwięki!! To poezja dla mojej duszy , ambrozja dla moich żył! Erupcje mroku zachwycają, wybuchy czerni paraliżują, wokoło roztacza się aura beznadziei i bezmocy. Na cześć oczywiście tą odpowiedzialną za doznania przyzwalamy, sama treść w myśl której został skomponowany album - jest twórczym krzykiem wobec tego, co się dzieje w rejonie miejsca zamieszkania kompozytora tych dźwięków - niszczącego piękno szwedzkiej natury przemysłu .. to tak w skrócie. Co i czy można zrobić by temu zapobiec? Sam nie wiem..niemniej jeśli ten album ma zobrazować niszczący postęp, chorobę cywilizacji której jesteśmy rodzicami i dziećmi, smutek, przerażenie i wypełniającą nas bezmoc i pustkę , ten album robi to idealnie.. support! Godzina muzycznej ciemności. Na północnych rubieżach Starego Kontynentu począwszy, a na Warszawie oczami Węgra i Niemca skończywszy. Nie zabrakło również nowości, w tym jednej, której publicznie nikt jeszcze nie słyszał. Dzięki uprzejmości twórcy, byliście pierwsi.

Za tym na pierwszy rzut oka enigmatycznym tytułem skrywa się dość ambitna inicjatywa. 63 dni bowiem trwało powstanie Warszawskie i temu właśnie historycznemu i bolesnemu wydarzeniu poświęcona jest ta płyta. W ogóle całość utworów i twórców którzy brali udział w powstaniu tej płyty została pierwotnie zamieszczona na sześciu limitowanych 7" winylach które tu zebrano w całość i zaklęto na tym srebrnym krążku. Całość ma dość bolesny i mroczny charakter pomimo kilku przyśpiewek z lat wojny które tu wpleciono. Wydźwięk to militarny i mroczny, miejscami bardzo smutny, nasiąknięty bardzo wyraźnie ambientowym czy miejscami - neofolkowym stylem. W zależności od danego artysty . A jest ich aż siedmiu i każdy w inny, sobie znany tylko sposób, z własną wrażliwością postanowił uczcić pamięć tamtych dramatycznych dni. Pomimo jednego obrazu, emocji tu bardzo, wiele i polecam tą pozycję nie tylko miłośnikom historii. Inicjatywa warta uwagi, płyta wyszła też w limitowanych boxie więc co kto lubi. Support!!!
