There will be no pre-announcements, as we’re dying to finally launch the 006 PROCESS issue! So here it is – all yours!
This is a very personal issue as it marks an end of this journey. Yes – we’re publishing our very last issue under this exact name and format.
We established the kreatura.zine project in February, 2018 with a group of folks who graduated from the same university and wanted to make first steps in a publishing realm. It took us months to figure things out, develop our language and gain audience and supporters. In the meantime, together with friends from other zines, we established Archipelago – a platform associating student publishing projects. We collaborated with SARP, OSSA and SESAM on occasion of their events, printing two of our six issues and making a debut at The International Biennale of Architecture in Kraków. On the other hand, we also beautifully failed at running our page (we definitely need some PR classes!), we started our Instagram profile three if not more times, and we laughed at how bad we’ve always been with timing. But it gave us tones of satisfaction to always click the ‘publish’ button. We are truly inspired by all the material that we’ve received from you, and by the enormous support and promotion coming from our Archipelago colleagues. Over these three years, the cross section of the published authors and their backgrounds was so broad that we can hardly find words for how surprised we’ve been when reading your submissions.
Kreatura was our beginning as we wanted to test possibilities and build a foundation for the next chapter. We already have in mind a very fresh format and we’ll be very excited to finally start it once we finish our education (meaning also more time to take care of it). Having said that – we thank you all again for creating this chapter with us and we hope to see you again in a while (you know what a while means, right ;)) The rebranding is on its way!
Until then, we’ll continue to post essays, events and more! 🛸
