صوبہ خیبر پختون خوا کے قبائلی ضلع خیبر میں ‏لنڈی کوتل پریس کلب کے سابق صدر اور خیبر نیوز چینل کے نمائندے خلیل جبران آفریدی اپنے گھر کے قریب مزرینہ کے علاقے میں نامعلوم افراد کے حملے میں شہید کر دیئے گئے ہیں۔ مقامی صحافیوں کے مطابق خلیل جبران کی کسی کے ساتھ کوئی دشمنی نہیں تھی۔
