On the night before Ashura, Imam Hussain gathered his companions and told them that the enemy was concerned only with him. Therefore, he would free them from all obligations. Then he ordered the lights to be turned off so that any one who wished to escape could do so in the darkness in order to avoid the embarrassment of walking out of the battlefield.

“My friends, my companions, tonight is the last night. You have suffered enough. There is still time to save your lives. Tomorrow, they will spare no one. Escape in the darkness of the night. I will have no objections. Go, my friends! Go, my companions!”

Imam Hussain then blew the candles off. There was total darkness. Anyone could have escaped without being noticed.

However, when the lights were turned on again, not a single of them moved away from their positions. The faithful companions had found the truth and each answered in own way that they would not deviate from the right path and would never leave Imam alone.

The entire event has been beautifully captured in an Urdu couplet:

Bujhe chiragh pe hum Dosti parakhte hain,
Ye Rasm apne qabeelay main Karbala se hai.

بجھے چراغ پہ ہم دوستی پرکھتے ہیں،
یہ رسم اپنے قبیلے میں کربلا سے ہے۔

مدینہ منورہ کے سیرت میوزیم میں رکھی گئی یہ تمثیل نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کی اونٹنی القصواء کی ہے -

رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی رحلت کے بعد یہ بہت دکھی اور غمگین ہوئی -

رسول پاک کی جدائی میں مسلسل روتے رہنے کی وجہ سے اس کی بینائی چلی گئی چنانچہ صحابہ کرام نے اس کی آنکھوں پر سیاہ پٹی باندھ لی -

کہتے ہیں ایک ماہ تک اس نے کچھ نہیں کھایا اور پھر صرف 14 سال کی عمر میں یہ گزر گئی -
جب کہ اونٹوں کی اوسط عمر 30 سے 40 سال ہوتی ہے -

قصوی کی رسول پاک سے خاص محبت تھی اس اونٹنی کو ابوبکر صدیق رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم کیلئے 800 درہم میں خریدا تھا -

ہجرت کے سفر میں یہ آپ کی سواری تھی،مسجد نبوی کے لیے زمین خریدتے وقت جس جگہ یہ بیٹھ گئی تھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ و سلم نے اسی زمین کو مسجد کیلئے مختص کیا تھا -

صلح حدیبیہ، فتح مکہ اور حجة الوداع کے موقعے پر بھی یہ رسول پاک کے ساتھ تھی -
آپ نے حجة الوداع کا خطبہ اسی اونٹنی پر سوار ہو کر دیا تھا -

سوره کہف" کی انیسویں آیت کا ایک لفظ ہے
"والیتلطف "
یہ تھوڑا بڑا کر کے لکھا ہوتا ہے ،
کیونکہ یہاں قرآن پاک کا درمیان آ جاتا ہے، کہتے ہیں یہ لفظ پورے قرآن کا خلاصہ ہے، اور اس کا ترجمہ ہے "نرمی سے بات کرنا"
جب الله نے موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو فرعون کے پاس بھیجا ، تو بھی یہی کہا کہ تم اس سے نرمی سے بات کرنا شاید وہ مان جاۓ .
کون مان جاۓ ؟؟ وہ انسان جس سے زیادہ متکبر اور گھمنڈ والا شخص دنیا میں اور کوئی نہیں آیا۔
زندگی کتنی بدل جاۓ اگر ہم اس بات کو مان جائیں کہ نرمی سے بات کرنے کا مطلب بے وقوفی، کمزوری یا بزدلی نہیں بلکہ عاجزی اور اعلی ظرفی ہے " ❗
