5 Amazon Seller Central features most people don’t know about:
1 - AWD
Inventory -> store and distribute
AWD = Amazon Warehousing and Distribution
This is Amazon’s version of a 3PL.
AWD will automatically restock Amazon warehouses and fulfill Shopify orders.
Benefits of AWD:
• Prevent stock outs
• Exempt from storage limits
• Increase buy box wins - even if your stock is in transit from AWD to FBA, you won’t be counted as OOS
• 1 inventory pool – simplifies fulfillment for all channels
At the moment AWD is only available for products smaller than 18” on any side and weigh no more than 20 lbs and non-perishable.
2- Amazon Seller Wallet
Reports -> Seller Wallet
Amazon created their own version of world currency services like WorldFirst or Payoneer.
Currently only available for North America sellers accounts that receive USD payouts.
Here’s how it works:
Let’s say your bank account is based in Canada, Australia, China, etc but you sell on Amazon US and received USD payouts.
Typically Amazon will payout your full balance on your disbursement date at the rate on that day.
But with seller wallet your funds will be kept in an “amazon bank account” and you can withdraw any amount, any day, at a favorable rate.
3 - Customer Reviews
Brands -> Customer reviews
Must be brand registered to see this.
Was made in response to sellers being frustrated that they can’t reach out to customers who left terrible reviews.
Allows you to see reviews on your product from the past 90 days and respond to critical reviews.
Review with 3-stars or below have a “contact customer” option.
4 - Explore Services
Partner Network -> Explore Services
Allows you to see Amazon’s recommend services.
Accounting, tax help, design, photography, translation...
5 - Brand Protection
Brands -> Brand Protection
This is where you report violations of your IP (design, copyright, patents).
You can enroll in Amazon’s Transparency program.
A unique code will be generated for each of your products.
Any product without that code will NOT be sent to customers.
6 - Brand Referral Bonus
Brand -> Brand Referral Bonus
This is for sellers running off-Amazon advertising driving traffic to their Amazon listings.
It’ll give you a unique code for your link.
That allows Amazon to track how many people you’re referring.
If customers buy then you get around 10% of the purchase (in most categories).
There’s a 2-week cookie.
If the customer returns to Amazon later and buys your product within 2 weeks, you still get the 10%.
They’re not cash payouts.
They’re credits towards future referral fees.
