Divide and Rule
The title is what reflects the strategy that the Britishers used against the Indians to keep them socially, politically,religiously and ethnically divided. It allowed the Britishers to maintain the power and control the Indians for decades.
Historians are well aware of the way the natives were treated . People of the Sub Continent lived a life of slavery in their own country and the migrants were running the Continent. The law had never been the same for the Indians and Britishers. They were enacted for the Indians and the Britishers enacted them. The upper class were living a luxurious life while the lower class being deprived of their basic rights, were living a life full of despair and agony. The only concern that the English had was the resources of the sub continent which they wanted to grab and make them out of their access. Natives were living a miserable life. The migrants had not even a slight interest in making the natives life better.
After getting the self-titled independence, our so-called political leaders adopted this very policy against their own nation. They have divided us into different political parties. These Parties raise different slogans which reflect their fake ideologies. Pakistan People Party( PPP) which claims to provide Roti, Kapra ,Makaan seems completely fail to provide them even to the people of Sindh. The people don't even have access to clean water. Inhabitants of Thar are dying of starvation, but Bhutto is still alive.
We haven't seen the provision of Justice to the victims in the PTI government. In Riyaste Madina, Justice was not only done to the muslims but even to the non muslims who would bring their cases before Umar(r.a.). The non muslim were even satisfied with the judicial system of Riyast e Madina. It was Umar who was held accountable by a common man. It was Umar who said if a dog dies of thirst at a river bank, Umar( r.a) will be held accountable for that.
In Riyaste Madina, The law was same for rich and poor, for muslims and non Muslim. But here, the law is different for rich and poor. Here, except for a few, everyone one is involved in bribery, corruption and injustice. Here, the rich are above the law, the poor starve for justice. Imran Khan who gives the example of Riyast e Madina should hold all his members accountable.
It is high time for the Chairman of PTI to take a first step into Riyaste Madina by holding all his ministers accountable in corruption charges and let the justice be done. By doing so he can set an example.
The PMLN government which recently signed an agreement to buy 150 Mercedes cars seems incompetent to provide flour to the public. They can afford to buy expensive and luxurious cars but they don't have money to facilitate the nation in daily commodities. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz along with their families live in England and enjoy the life that everyone dreams of. They, despite of proven corruption cases, roaming freely and no one dares to grab them. The families of all our political leaders live abroad and do their businesses. Their way of life is getting better day by day while the common man in this country is looking for a one time meal. Isn't it an injustice to this nation?
Our Generals, who are no doubt, above the law. I haven't seen any general so far who might have been held accountable against his corruption charges despite of the fact that they are more involved in corruption as compared to the politicians. They leave the country when they retire. You can imagine how sincere they are with this country!
The ruling class has divided us through these political parties. And their goal is to maintain their power on us, control our resources and accumulate wealth as much as they can. They use us for their own interest. Not even a single one of them is interested in working for the welfare of this nation. They prioritize their own interest rather than national interest. Isn't there much difference between our lifestyle and theirs? Here, the citizens are fighting over the bags of flour, on the other hand the life of ruling class is a bed of roses.
The one thing that everyone should keep in mind is that the ruling class is taking advantage of our disunity. The nation should know that our unity will be the end of their rule and they know it, that's why they take every possible step to implement this strategy to break up larger power into pieces that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy. The use of this technique is meant to empower the sovereign to control subjects, populations, of different interests, who collectively might be able to oppose its rule.
Don't be blind followers, this is the time for us to reunite, end our political differences and raise our voices aginst these Mafias. Let's prioritize national interest and harmony. This is the time not to support those who are not sincere to this country.
