So team outandabout decided to do something fun!

We went to to try some of their delicious food, which again I have to mention is organic!! Freshly grown herbs and ingredients and nothing apart from the chicken was store bought! How do you not love that?

We tried the Mint Chilli Dry, Chicken Steak and had some dessert. The desserts; Molten Lava and Banana Pudding absolutely stole the show in the end. The food tastes very different, like a breath of fresh air in the area.

You can actually taste the herbs in the food, the perfect blend to remember how it was cooked at home yet combined with their special sauce makes it a whole experience.

For her, designing clothes is a way of expression. Moreover, she always wanted to own something, something she was solely responsible for. This was the reason which pushed her to start her own clothing venture.

Her favourite to-go outfit is matching separates as they are comfortable and chic. This is why, all her launching items are matching separates.

She started her venture online rather than a physical store because the reach is great and it’s easier to operate it online.

Tried the famous smash burger from .pk with peach iced tea. The burger was as usual flavourful and juicy with the right amount of sauces. What I noticed is that the bun size has shrunken a bit, but nevertheless, it was fulfilling. Moreover, I’ve always been a fan of this cheese sauce with the fries. Gives the right hit to the tastebuds.
However, I wouldn’t recommend you to have food, especially beef, outdoors. It’s too hot to consume heavy foods nowadays. It’s better to take-away or have it in your car! Finally, kudos to Rinas for maintaining taste and quality 👏🏼

Marina Syed, the owner of ‘Rowdy Rides,’ rides a bike fearlessly. Not only is she breaking boundaries and challenging the patriarchal mindset by riding her bike, but she’s also training young girls.

The lack of a proper transport system in Karachi and skyrocketing taxi fares made moving about immensely difficult for her. Since the cars were too expensive to purchase and maintain, Marina decided to ride a bike as men do.

The young woman started the academy to help girls as there is no training center in Pakistan, which teaches women how to ride bikes professionally. Since Marina struggled herself, she made sure no other girl has to endure what she did. She teaches working women on weekends too. She believes that it is a ‘need’ for women to learn how to drive bikes because one should be able to support themselves.

Women in Pakistan are still extremely reluctant to drive bikes even in the 21st century, as biking for women is considered an unsuitable, unladylike and almost vulgar task. Many women find trouble riding bikes in public due to the patriarchal masculinity which dominates our society streets.

Supporting female bikers in Pakistan can inspire other women to ride, their life can be changed in a positive way. They can ride anywhere they want, help in outdoor household chores, pick and drop their child: a lot of time can be saved.

Despite the difficulties, Marina and her friends still take out their bikes every day. They face the noise and keep riding with the hope that one day they will no longer be the odd ones out- just another ordinary girl getting on with life.

Society has an absurd perception that women riding a bike is not appropriate. This custom will fade away with the passage of time if women continue to stand their ground.

Daniyal Noorani and Seemi Sani's, the duo behind Awesamosas, brought a change to the street food in Lahore. They started off with Nutella samosas which were taken by the storm.

Awesamosas is a unique samosa bar that dares to combine regular samosas with the most far-out ingredients - The age when the samosa changed forever!

Daniyal was always fascinated by fusion cooking; he would make eccentric things like mushroom daal. From that hobby stemmed the desire to reinvent the classic samosa; he ran the idea by his cousin, Seemi and she was game so they got to work right away,

He doesn’t fear that this might be a fad, like the Nutella paratha combo which slowly dwindled. Daniyal said that you have to pick flavours that accentuate one another. And this is what he’s been always into so he will never stop inventing new food items.

There are people out there even copying the recipes but the duo doesn’t mind. Daniyal said, “We know we are the leaders of this category and we'll keep pushing the samosa cuisine to the next level.”

Simply put: Awesamosa is an awesome samosa! Choose from the sweet and savoury samosa flavours and become part of the legacy.

One of the dark sides of internet is “trolling”. Internet trolls are people who want to provoke and upset others online for their own amusement.

The most classic adage regarding trolling is, “Don’t feed the trolls.” Trolls seek out emotional responses and find provocation amusing, so replying to them or attempting to debate them will only make them troll more. By ignoring a troll completely, they will likely become frustrated and go somewhere else on the internet.

You should try your best not to take anything trolls say seriously. No matter how poorly they behave, remember these people spend countless unproductive hours trying to make people mad. They’re not worth your time of day.

Just know, your single comment can make the other person go through extreme trauma, depression and so on. Be careful with your words and action. Spread kindness, please. That’s what our world needs the most right now.

It’s just a filter on TikTok or Instagram — something we so casually apply to our selfies these days. With a swipe of a screen, photoshopping, once a highly-technical process, has become almost second nature to most of us. I say ‘us’ because I’m very much part of this vanity-obsessed generation that wants to look its best on social media. On one end, we find ourselves being cushioned with Internet quotes promoting self love and acceptance, even flaunting our insecurities. On the other end, with as much force, come in the filtered faces with flawless skin.

It has become so awfully easy to hide bodily ‘imperfections’ that we are starting to inhabit a social media bubble of alternate reality, where open pores, fine lines, blemishes and breakouts cease to exist. Snapchat’s famous flower crown or puppy filters become a lot more complex than a mere expression of creativity when they start to strategically conceal our faces, smoothen our skin tones, give us bigger and brighter eyes and make us look distinctly lighter than we would.

As people become more conscious of the subtle-yet-harmful addiction to alter, or in fact filter, one’s sense of what’s real, influencers, too, are making an effort to portray more of their reality. But how far have they really come?

She has been named after her grand-grandmother. What a beautiful name for their baby girl who was born on Friday at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

May she grow in strength and wisdom and be blessed by the knowledge of her two namesakes and their innumerable contributions to the world.

Meet Arab Shah, a rickshaw driver from Peshawar who resides in the Warsak Road area of the KPK’s capital city. Arab Shah has been providing free pick-and-drop services to schoolgirls for 6 years now.

According to Bhai Jaan, he is providing free rides in order to promote girls’ education in his community. Arab Shah is known in his neighborhood for his kindness and reliability, and girls refer to him as “Bhai Jaan,” as if he were a father figure to them.

Arab went on to say that the reason this idea sparked was that 5 of his sisters remained illiterate because they could not afford their education. This is why he is more than motivated to make sure others do not suffer the same fate.

However, the surprise in this story does not end here. Arab Shah then informed us that not all of the parents approached him for pick and drop. Arab went door to door, convincing parents and families into educating their daughters.

Pakistan needs more people like Arab Shah who think outside the box and outside their lives. Massive kudos to this son of the soil.

If Fawad Khan is in the show, our guess is that he could be playing one of the Red Daggers along with Alyy Khan and Farhan Akhtar. Marvel yet to comment. Amazing if true!

You must have seen Mountain Dew Jalebi all over the internet. Well, these jalebis are not green because of mountain dew or addition of green food colour. These are actually AVAREBELE JILEBI, quite popular in Bangalore. These are made of Hyacinth Beans or more popularly known by the locals as Avarebele in Karnataka. The unique flavour of the Avarebele is so popular that there is even a festival/fair dedicated to it - 'Avarekai Mela'. These avarebele jalebis not only look different but the taste is also quite different from the regular jalebi. Definitely worth trying if you are in Bangalore.🙌🏻

Breaking the taboo that only males could ride a motorcycle. Farzana Shar from a village of Ghotki district is setting a bold example of women empowerment in Sindh. More encouraging is her father and a kid seated back - adding credence to the empowerment that all fathers need to follow.

Farzana has also taken responsibilities for the household chores, farming, livestock rearing, and also takes care of her younger siblings.

Now imagine if her father was criminalised for not marrying her off at 18 and weighed down by paying fines. Sindh is such an interesting dichotomy. Warriors of progression are battling against obscurantists.

This is real Pakistan, which is under attack by feudalism, tribalism & fanaticism. Give our women a firm place to stand, a fair & equal chance to participate, compete & fight and they will move the earth.

Farjad Ahmed Khan, founder of , wanted to offer something unique that can differentiate from a crowd.

He has an educational background in finance and management accounting and used to work in the corporate sector but he realised that is not his cup of tea. So, one day, he and his venture partner, brainstormed some ideas. They scrolled through mood boards for inspiration. They noticed people were offering sketches, handpainted pottery, and sneakers. Eventually, they came up with the idea of transforming conventional slippers and sandals into trendy and stylish footwear.

Farjad overlooks the operational side of the business while they have hired an artist to paint. All of our manufacturing is outsourced to a local manufacturer. As far as designs are concerned, he takes input from my sisters (for obvious reasons) but mostly it is experimental as they don’t know what might work.

The primary idea behind any artwork is to empower customers to wear our footwear with any outfit. Tassel Pakistan does not want to limit them, hence they choose colours accordingly and make sure the footwear can go with eastern and western wear. Moreover, they also offer design customisation to their customers.

However, the initial period for Tassel was tough, as customers did not know how to respond to it. But, offering a different product was Farjad’s goal, and he believed in it. He knew it was a matter of time as it takes time to develop a taste, eventually, people started liking the products.

So far, it is going good and they are planning to expand their collection and diversify the range of products. They have recently included wooden earrings in the collection. And, they will be launching new products soon.

Indeed, 9-5 corporate jobs are not everyone’s cup of tea. But, it takes a lot of courage and determination to leave that stability behind. We’ve been wired by the media to only see the results, but the truth is, entrepreneurship is not glamorous. So if you’re serious about it, get ready to commit emotionally, psychologically, and financially to whatever project you want to build.

Meera jee asked how to be a strong woman and here’s how I think, you can be one.

Becoming strong and confident begins with you deciding that you have that choice.

You are already strong, you just need to unlock your strength. So in asking, How do I become a strong confident woman, your first step would be, to say to yourself, “I Choose” to be strong and confident. By doing this you have started to turn the key to unlock your power from within.

“That’s it” you say? No, but it is one of the most important steps to becoming a strong and confident woman.

One thing I do want to convey is “Do not be afraid.” What do I mean by that? I mean, many women hold back in becoming confident and strong because of how society has portrayed them. You know the “stereotype”. In reality, a strong, confident woman, is a woman in control of her own life, her money, her business, her relationships; yet she is compassionate, feels hard, and shows emotions. Some people view kindness, emotions, and vulnerability as signs of weakness. But mentally strong women understand that these can all be signs that you are mentally stronger than most.

There’s no need for them to prove their inner strength to anyone else for attention. They recognize that their strength will likely remind others of their own insecurities.

I want to clear this misconception that being strong is not about controlling, it’s about being in control of your own actions and reactions and the choices you make for your life.

Mentally strong women stay focused on growing stronger and becoming better, regardless of what anyone thinks of them.

So, believe in your strength and focus on your personal goals (whatever they may be) to tackle any situation that comes your way. You got this girl 💗🙌🏻

How to be a strong woman?

There is no formula or a path you get to take to be a strong woman. This common misconception, where a girl has to go through hell to convince society that she is ‘strong’ is incredibly wrong and taxing. I don’t think you need to suffer to be a strong woman. You don’t need to burn and exhaust yourself to explain something this simple.
If you’re doing something out of your comfort zone, you’re a strong woman. If you’re fighting patriarchy at a national level or even at your home, if you have mental health problems and still keep it together in times of crisis, if you think for others just like you think for yourself, you’re a strong woman. Any girl who wakes up and chooses to fight for herself is resilient and powerful and there is no debate there.
One does not need to suffer to be strong. Just because you can absorb it, doesn’t mean you have to. There are no tips or tricks to be a powerful woman, so you can’t answer a question as simple as ‘how’ to do that but yes, there are some things we have adapted to in this generation, which halt the growth of other women around us.
Drop the jealousy, let it go. Another woman is not your competition and she never will be. She is an example of how something can be done, how you can do it too. Clap for your companions and be proud of them. Be motivated by their success. Stop a rumour as soon as you hear it. Lift each other up and always be kind. You don’t need to walk over coals to be ‘strong’, if life is hard and you chose to be kind, regardless of how you feel, you’re a strong woman. Im proud of you everyday.
