After a gap of twenty years, the 34th National Olympic Games took place in Quetta, featuring the participation of the GB Fencing team.

The team, led by Syed Arfat from Sandi Yasin, included three girls and three boys who achieved remarkable success by securing a total of 15 medals in both individual and team events. Among the medalists were Tehseen from Gilgit city, who won three bronze medals, and participants Ehtisham, Danish, and Misbah from Yasin who earned medals as well. Adding to the team's achievements, Zahra and Gul, hailing from Hunza, also earned medals.

Notably, this group of talented individuals accomplished this feat without receiving any support from the sports board or government. Let us commend these exceptional champions for bringing pride to our nation.

The national games commenced on May 12, 2023, and will continue until the end of the month, on the 31st. If anyone wishes to voluntarily sponsor these athletes, kindly reach out and contribute to their cause.

Asumbar Nala: A place in Yasin, Ghizer valley, massively blessed with stunning views. Cold clean water, mountains, green landscapes, forest, rocks, clear blue sky occasionally hiding behind the curtain of clouds, cold breezes all day, specially at night, clean air, and most peaceful, where you can talk to yourself and to the creator with all your concentration. - “So what if you ride motorcycles? It’s not like you have won the Olympics”

I remember this comment somewhere beneath my posts. And it made me wonder, ‘did I really just ride motorcycles?’🤔

For a second, I was in self-doubt. But then, I got a message. A sweet girl texted me telling me how she has started riding motorcycles and is now going to her college regularly.

And then I realised…

At times, I have underestimated myself. My story telling skills. My pictures. My videos. My social media.

All of this do have a power. The power of influence. I am just an ordinary girl but if young girls can look up to me and say “I CAN DO THIS”⚡️

I guess…

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former finance minister Miftah Ismail was left in a spin briefly during a press conference on Wednesday when he was asked about his own business which was apparently flourishing during the rule of rivals Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

"How did your company's profit double this year when the country's economy has collapsed," a journalist asked Miftah, who was very critical of the government's policies throughout his presser.

The journalist added that during the tenure of PML-N, the profit was Rs350 million but during PTI's rule, it has doubled. "How has the economy collapsed exactly when your company is making more than a double of previous years," he asked the PML-N leader.

OPINION: “What makes Israel with nine million people — between one-half and one-third of Karachi’s population — a Goliath of biblical proportions? Equally, notwithstanding their fabulous oil wealth, why are 427m Arabs the pygmies of international politics? GCC Arabs can certainly control what happens in a few miskeen countries like Pakistan; their leaders can be summoned to Riyadh at a moment’s notice and sent back with sackfuls of rice as wages of obedience. But before Israel — which has almost zero natural resources — Arab kings and sheikhs must perforce bow their heads.

The secret of Israel’s strength is not hidden in its weaponry. Instead this still-expanding and still-colonising apartheid settler state uses the same magic that enabled just a handful of 18th-century Englishmen to colonise the entire Indian subcontinent. Let’s recall that in ruling over 200m natives for 250 years, at no time did Britain have more than 50,000 white soldiers on Indian soil. Although better guns and cannons gave them an edge, in fact their real not-so-secret weapon was much bigger.

That weapon was a system of organised thought based upon a rational and secular approach to life, a modern system of justice, and a new set of social relations. This was sustained and enhanced by Enlightenment-era education that de-emphasised rote learning of the scriptures, was this-worldly and future-oriented, and which focused upon problem-solving skills using systematic, scientific thinking.

The problem is not genetics — Arabs have a brilliant past and are probably just as smart as Ashkenazi Israelis. But the two groups have different attitudes towards success and different role models. The Ashkenazi child wants to be Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, John von Neumann, George Wald, Paul Samuelson, Gertrude Elion, Ralph Lauren, George Soros, or a thousand other such names that fill textbooks on physics, philosophy, technology, medicine, and business. Compare this with the Arab boy who wants to be Salahuddin Ayubi and the Pakistani lad who dreams of becoming Ertugrul Ghazi on horseback. He does not know about Abdus Salam, our discarded Nobelist.”

To boost tourism, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Saturday issued TPRI (Tourism Promotion and Regional Integration) license to a newly launched private airline named North Air.

As per details, the privately launched new airline is planned to operate flights for Gilgit, Skardu, Chitral and Gwadar.

Initially, the airline will operate flights between Islamabad-Gilgit, Islamabad-Skardu, Islamabad-Chitral and Islamabad-Gwadar. The head office of the private airline was established at New Islamabad Airport.

گلگت بلتستان کے علاقہ یاسین ضلع غذر سے تعلق رکھنے والے پرائیویٹ کمپنی کے ملازم کو پیرودھائی پولیس نے تھانے میں وحشیانہ تشدد کا نشانہ بنا ڈالا۔ پولیس اہلکاروں نے شہری کے پاس موجود پچاس ہزار روپے کی رقم اور اے ٹی ایم کارڈ چھیننے کے بعد اے ٹی ایم کارڈ کا کورڈ بھی زبردستی لے لیا۔ بعد ازاں پولیس اہلکاروں نے اس بے گناہ شہری پر جو سات ماہ بعد چھٹی لے کر اپنے بچوں سے ملنے گھر جا رہا تھا چوری کا جھوٹا مقدمہ ڈال دیا اور اڈیالہ جیل منتقل کر دیا۔ جو اس وقت سلاخوں کے پیچھے اپنے ناکردہ گناہوں کی سزا کاٹ رہا ہے۔ پولیس گردی کا نشانہ بننے والے شہری کی تلاش میں اس کے ورثاء گلگت سے راولپنڈی پہنچ گئے اور آٹھ روز تک تلاش میں دربدر رہنے کے بعد انہیں اصل صورتحال کا پتہ چلا۔ جس کے بعد متاثرہ شہری کے بھائی نے سی پی او راولپنڈی کو تحریری درخواست دیتے ہوئے انصاف کا مطالبہ کیا ہے۔ڈاکخانہ یاسین طاؤس بالا، تحصیل یاسین ضلع غذر کے رہائشی خوش محمد خان نامی شہری نے سی پی او راولپنڈی کو تحریری درخواست دیتے ہوئے موقف اختیار کیا ہے کہ میرا بھائی محمد پناہ چائنیز کمپنی سی جی جی سی میں مہمند ڈیم کی سائٹ پر ملازمت کرتا ہے اور 6 اکتوبر 2020ء سے سائٹ پر ہی موجود رہا اور مسلسل سات ماہ سے کمپنی میں رہا۔ 8 اپریل 2021ء کی رات بارہ بج کر بارہ منٹ پر محمد پناہ چھٹی پر گلگت جانے کے لئے پیرودھائی اڈا پر پہنچا۔ جہاں لیٹ پہنچنے پر گاڑی نہ مل سکی۔ جس پر وہ رات بسر کرنے تھری سٹار ہوٹل پیرودھائی گیا۔تب تک فون پر رابطہ تھا۔پھر رابطہ منقطع ہوگیا۔ میں دو تین روز تک انتظار کرتا رہا پھر تشویش ہونے پر 13 اپریل کی شام کو بھائی کی تلاش میں راولپنڈی جانے کے لئے گلگت سے نکلا۔ اگلے روز 14 اپریل کی صبح پیرودھائی پہنچا۔ تھری سٹار ہوٹل پیرودھائی سے پتہ کیا تو ہوٹل منیجر نے بتایاکہ محمد پناہ 9 اپریل کی صبح چھ بجے چیک آؤٹ کر گیا تھا۔ اس کے بعد باقی ہوٹلوں سے پتہ کیا تو معلوم ہوا کہ 9 اپریل کو وہ کشمیر ہوٹل پیرودھائی میں آیا تھا اور رات پونے دس بجے یہاں سے نکلا۔ میں نے اپنے طور پر بھائی کی تلاش کی۔ ناکامی پر 14 اپریل کو تھانہ پیرودھائی گیا اور پولیس کو اپنے بھائی کی گمشدگی کی درخواست دی۔ پولیس نے رپٹ درج کرکے مجھے تھانے سے چلتا کر دیا۔ اس کے بعد میں نے اپنے رشتہ داروں کے ہمراہ بھائی کی تلاش شروع کر دی۔ اس دوران تھانہ پیرودھائی کے متعدد چکر لگائے لیکن کچھ پتہ نہ چلا۔ 16 اپریل کو کسی شخص نے فون کرکے بتایاکہ آپ کا بھائی اڈیالہ جیل میں ہے۔ جس پر میں نے اپنے رشتہ دار وکیل کے ہمراہ 17 اپریل کو اڈیالہ جیل جاکر بھائی سے ملاقات کی۔ جس پر اس نے بتایاکہ 9 اپریل کو ہوٹل سے پیرودھائی پولیس نے اٹھایا۔ اس وقت میرے پاس پچاس ہزار روپے کیش، معہ اے ٹی ایم کارڈ موجود تھا۔ پولیس نے مجھ پر بے پناہ تشدد کیا۔رقم اور اے ٹی ایم کارڈ چھین کر اے ٹی ایم کارڈ کا کوڈ بھی زبردستی لے لیا۔پیرودھائی پولیس نے بھاری رقم لوٹ کر اس پر پردہ ڈالنے کے لئے 25 دسمبر 2020ء کو درج کی گئی ایک گمنام ایف آئی آر نمبر 1357/20 بجرم 381اے میں ملوث کر دیا۔ درخواست میں مزید کہا گیا ہے کہ میرا بھائی محمد پناہ 6 اکتوبر 2020ء سے 8 اپریل 2021ء تک مہمند ڈیم پروجیکٹ کی سائٹ سے باہر ہی نہیں آیا اس بات کی تصدیق کمپنی کے پروجیکٹ منیجر بھی کرسکتے ہیں۔ جبکہ ایف آئی آر دسمبر 2020ء کی درج ہے۔ میرے بھائی پر پولیس اہلکاروں نے بیہمانہ تشدد کیا، رقم لوٹی اور جھوٹے مقدمہ میں ملوث کرکے جھوٹی ریکوری بھی ڈالی گی ہے۔ ہمارے ساتھ انصاف کیا جائے۔

The Board of Investment (BOI) has decided to facilitate the entry of China’s largest automobile manufacturer in Pakistan and the first private special economic zone (SEZ) in Raiwind, Punjab.

With an estimated foreign direct investment (FDI) of Rs663 million and local investment worth Rs637 million, MG JW Automobile will establish an electric car manufacturing plant.

MG JW Automobile (MG Pakistan) is a joint venture between JW-SEZ (Private) Limited and SMIL, which is a subsidiary of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. SAIC is a Chinese state-owned automotive design and manufacturing company headquartered in Shanghai with multinational operations.

It is the largest auto manufacturer in China and the seventh-largest in the world. In 2006, SAIC purchased the prestigious British brand Morris Garages (MG) and it is now marketing automobiles under that brand all over the world.

The BOI received the zone entry application of MG JW Automobile Pakistan through its recently launched ‘SEZ MIS Module’, which acts as a one-window for SEZs in Pakistan. The module is designed to facilitate real investors, from all corners of the world, in getting admission into SEZs while ensuring complete transparency.

A Masterplan for Pakistan’s 🇵🇰 Largest Oil 🛢 city, including a USD 🇺🇸 10 Dollars Aramco Oil Refinery project, is underway and expected to be before the End of the year, Pakistani officials said this week.

The Proposed mega Oil City will be on 88,000 acres of Land in the Gwadar District of the southwestern Balochistan province to refine and Process Petroleum products mainly imported from the Gulf region, for local and Regional consumption.

“The Planning for the mega oil city which will Host an Aramco refinery and Petrochemical complex is in Progress, and we will take 6 to 7 months to complete the masterplan,” Shahzeb Khan Kakar, director general of Gwadar Development Authority (GDA).

The $10 Billion Aramco Oil Refinery with a "250,000-300,000 Per Day" capacity is expected to be commissioned in about 5 to 6 years.

The project will have a USD 🇺🇸 1 Petrochemical complex that will lay the foundations for Pakistan’s petrochemical industry by producing polyethylene and Polypropylene.

Gwadar has been touted as the “Crown 👑 Jewel 💎” of the multi Billion Dollar China 🇨🇳 Pakistan 🇵🇰 Economic Corridor.

Through the Development projects by Saudi 🇸🇦 and Chinese 🇨🇳 investment 💰, the GDA chief forecast that the per capita income of Gwadar 🇵🇰 will 📈 to $15,000 by 2050.
