Dr Adil Shah, a bright young student, has completed his doctorate (PhD) from the prestigious Cambridge University, UK.

Hailing from Yasin Valley, Ghizer, Dr.Adil has remained a top student since his childhood.

He did Matriculation & Intermediate from Aga Khan Higher Secondary School, Gahkuch, before getting into LUMS for his Bachelors Degree on full scholarship. He later obtained the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship for his Masters degree at Georgia Tech University, USA.

And now he has completed his PhD in Applied Superconductivity from the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK.

Dr.Adil comes from a very humble background; his father is a retired army person.

He is the first PhD from the University of Cambridge from District Ghizer. He has always been an inspiration for the youngsters.

After a gap of twenty years, the 34th National Olympic Games took place in Quetta, featuring the participation of the GB Fencing team.

The team, led by Syed Arfat from Sandi Yasin, included three girls and three boys who achieved remarkable success by securing a total of 15 medals in both individual and team events. Among the medalists were Tehseen from Gilgit city, who won three bronze medals, and participants Ehtisham, Danish, and Misbah from Yasin who earned medals as well. Adding to the team's achievements, Zahra and Gul, hailing from Hunza, also earned medals.

Notably, this group of talented individuals accomplished this feat without receiving any support from the sports board or government. Let us commend these exceptional champions for bringing pride to our nation.

The national games commenced on May 12, 2023, and will continue until the end of the month, on the 31st. If anyone wishes to voluntarily sponsor these athletes, kindly reach out and contribute to their cause.
