Naila Kiani the Second Pakistani Woman to Summit Everest

US Proposes $500K Grant to Help Pakistani transgender youths with Their English language abilities

According to Fox News on Tuesday, Pakistan will reportedly receive a $500,000 grant from the Biden administration in the United States to advance English language proficiency with an emphasis on transgender adolescents.

The funding will cover the costs of professional development courses for non-mainstream institution English language instructors, inexperienced English language teachers in Pakistan, transgender youth, and Afghan teachers, students, and young professionals living in Pakistan. One of the goals of the US State Department is to assist Pakistani youth as they try to better prepare themselves for success in the job and to engage more fully in the global community.

UAE to Launch Direct Flights to Skardu

Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), will soon have direct flights from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). An adviser to the prime minister (PM) on tourism and sports, Aun Chaudhry, indicated during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023 in Dubai that direct flights between the UAE and Skardu will assist increase tourism in the northern territories of Pakistan. Additionally, he said that the prime minister had given him the go-ahead to collaborate with industry to implement significant initiatives to increase tourism in the country.
