Asthma is a chronic inflammation of the airways which causes episodes in which a person has difficulty in breathing. 😷
The word "Asthma" comes from a Greek word that means "Panting", which refers to the characteristic wheezing sound that an asthma patient makes during an asthmatic attack. 😖

How to recognise an asthma attack 🚨
A person can be suffering from an asthma attack if they:
1. Develop sudden difficulty in breathing. 🫁
2. Are coughing excessively. 😷
3. Make a whistling sound while breathing out. 😮💨
What to do when someone's having an asthma attack ❓
1. Be calm and reassure the person having an attack
2. Ask them to take steady breaths, this also helps in calming them down. 😮💨
3. If they have an inhaler, retrieve it for them and ask them to take 1 puff every minute.
4. If the person doesn’t have an inhaler or their symptoms continue to get worse, call an ambulance. 🚑
