ملتان شہباز شریف ہسپتال میں سلنڈر دھماکہ،
دھماکے سے ہسپتال عمارت کو نقصان،عمارت ٹوٹ پھوٹ کا شکار،ایک شخص زخمی

ریسکیو ذرائع کے مطابق شہباز شریف ہسپتال میں لیب کے اندر سلنڈر کے پھٹنے کی اطلاع ملی۔ ابتدائی معلومات کے مطابق سلنڈر پھٹنے سے ایک شخص زخمی ہوا۔ سلنڈر پھٹنے سے آگ لگی جسے بجھانے کیلئے ریسکیو کی آگ بجھانے والی گاڑی جائے حادثہ پر پہنچ گئیں اور امدادی سرگرمیاں شروع کر دیں۔

ضلعی انتظامیہ، پولیس کی بھاری نفری، سپیشل برانچ، انٹیلیجنس ونگ ,بی ڈی ٹیم اور سرچ اینڈ سؤپنگ ٹیم موقع پر پہنچ گئیں۔

دھماکہ کی شدت سے قریبی عمارتوں کے شیشے ٹوٹ گئے,ہسپتال میں موجود گاڑیوں کو نقصان پہنچا اور دھماکے کی شدت اسقدر تھی کہ دس کلومیٹر کی رینج میں دھماکے کی آواز سنائی دی گئی۔

ڈی سی ملتان عامر کریم خان نے کہا کہ دھماکے کی وجوہات کا جائزہ لے رہے ہیں، دھماکے میں زخمی اور اسپتال میں موجود مریضوں کو نشتر اسپتال منتقل کر دیا ہے۔ دھماکے کی وجوہات سامنے آنے کے بعد آگاہ کریں گے۔

اسلام آباد: پیٹرولیم مصنوعات میں تقریباً 12 روپے تک کی کمی کا نوٹی فکیشن جاری کردیا گیا۔

مٹی کے تیل کی قیمت میں 11 روپے 88 پیسے فی لیٹر کمی کی جس کے بعد مٹی کے تیل کی نئی قیمت 35 روپے 56 پیسے فی لیٹر، پیٹرول کی فی لیٹر قیمت میں 7 روپے 6 پیسے کمی کے بعد 74 روپے 52 پیسے فی لیٹر ہوگئی ہے۔ ڈیزل کی قیمت پانچ پیسے اضافے کے بعد 80 روپے 15 پیسے فی لیٹر کردی گئی ہے۔ حکومت نے نوٹیفکیشن جاری کردیا ہے جس کے تحت نئی قیمتوں کا اطلاق رات بارہ بجے سے ہوگا۔

KARACHI: Sindh recorded 14 coronavirus deaths on Thursday– the highest in a single day, taking the toll to 171, according to Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

In his regular video message on the coronavirus situation in the province today, he said that 14 more patients have died from coronavirus during the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 171.

Besides, the CM said, 453 persons tested positive for the virus in Sindh on Thursday, raising the number of total reported cases in the province to 9,093.

So far, 76,078 tests have been carried out in the province, he added.

He said that 335 from 453 new cases belonged to Karachi, among which 81 were reported from South district, 69 from East district and 91 from Central district. This showed that of Sindh’s 9,093 cases, 4,762 had emerged in Karachi, the CM explained.

CM Murad said 112 patients were discharged after the full recovery over the previous 24 hours, taking the number of patients recovered to 1,853.

Speaking about the patients under treatment, the CM said that of 7,069, as many as 5,858 were isolated at their homes, 683 at isolation centres and 528 at hospitals, adding that 87 among them, including 14 on ventilator, were in critical condition.

PIA’s first special flight for US to depart on May 10

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), on Thursday, has issued a schedule for special international flights to repatriate thousands of Pakistanis stranded in the United States due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ARY News reported, citing sources.

According to the PIA spokesperson, the national carrier would operate chartered flights to bring the back nationals stranded in the US.

Sharing details of the relief operation, he said that, initially, Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) will operate two flights for Washington. The first flight would depart for Washington on May 10 from Islamabad airport while the second flight will leave for Washington from Jinnah International Airport Karachi on May 13.

The schedule for flights between Lahore and New Jersey would be announced later, he added.

It may be noted that, last week, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was allowed to operate direct flights to the United States (US) to airlift its stranded citizens. The permission was granted by the US Transport Department on Pakistan’s request to repatriate its stranded citizens in the United States of America.

According to the permission granted by the US, the PIA can operate as many as 12 flights in a month to bring back the stranded Pakistanis. The PIA spokesperson had said that the permission was granted to Pakistan by the US after improvement in the security situation. CEO PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Ministry and Aviation Ministry for taking the issue with the US.

The national flag carrier is continuing its operations to bring back stranded Pakistani expats across the globe and so far more than 15,000 have been airlifted from the various countries.

Markets allowed to open five days a week: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar announced on Thursday that small markets and neighbourhood shops will be allowed to open from Fajar till 5pm.

However, he added, the markets and other businesses, except shops selling essential items like food and medicine, will remain closed two days a week.

Speaking alongside Prime Minister Imran Khan to brief the nation on decisions made during today’s meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC), he said more sectors related to construction will be opened.

The minister further announced that selected out-patient wards (OPDs) will also be opened to treat specific diseases. He said educational institutions will remain closed till 15 July.

Prime Minister Imran Khan announced that the government has decided to lift the lockdown in phases starting from Saturday. He said the decision to lift lockdown has been taken to mitigate the suffering of people.

“The decision has been made due to the suffering of our people,” the premier explained.

“We have already opened the construction sector and we are going to open others sectors related to the construction industry,” he announced.

“Every sector is reeling under difficulties at present, small traders, rickshaw and taxi drivers, as well as labourers, are facing great hardships due to [to the lockdown],” he pointed out, adding no one can say for sure if coronavirus cases will see a spike after relaxation in the lockdown. “We can’t afford to keep the country shut for a long time.
