سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ: عَدَدَ خَلْقِهِ، وَرِضَا نَفْسِهِ، وَزِنَةَ عَرْشِهِ وَمِدَادَ كَلِمَاتِهِ

Meaning: Glory is to Allah and praise is to Him, by the multitude of His creation, by His Pleasure, by the weight of His Throne, and by the extent of His Words.

مجھے منزلوں سے عزیز ہیں ، تیری رہگزر کی مسافتیں
کہ لکھی ہیں میرے نصیب میں ابهی عمربھرکی مسافتیں

وہی صبح نو کے عذاب ہیں ، وہی رات بھر کے خواب ہیں
وہی تشنگی کے سراب ہیں ، وہی چشم تر کی مسافتیں

اسی ایک پل کی تلاش میں ، جسے لوگ کہتے ہیں زندگی
تری رہگزر میں بکھر گئیں ، میری عمر بھر کی مسافتیں

ہیں بڑے عجیب سے واسطے، کہ گریز پا سبھی راستے
وہ تیری نگاہ کے فاصلے ، یہ میری نظر کی مسافتیں

کبھی راستوں میں قرار تھا ، کبھی منزلوں سے فرار تھا
کبھی دربدر کی سکونتیں ، کبھی اپنے گھر کی مسافتیں
