UPDATES FROM BALOCH YAKJEHTI COMMITTEE SIT-IN AT NATIONAL PRESS CLUB ISLAMABAD

1. UPDATE FROM THE SIT-IN CAMP
On the 48th day of the sit-in outside the National Press Club, Islamabad, as usual, the day started with breakfast at 8:30 AM. From 11:00 onward many people from various regions of Pakistan came for solidarity: 10 people from Punjab, 51 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 20 from Sindh, 06 from Kashmir, 21 from Gilgit Baltistan, 40 from Islamabad, and 78 people from Balochistan visited the camp for solidarity.
​After lunch at 2:00 PM, a ‘Press Conference was organized to brief the media about the state oppression and movement against Baloch genocide – as following the brutal tactics of the State, reportedly, more than 40 activists have been arrested from Taunsa, while in the preparation of a demonstration in solidarity with the Sit-In against Baloch Genocide and Enforced Disappearances at National Press Club, Islamabad. Some names of the abducted activists are following;
Zulfiqar Maglani, Muhammad Aslam, Master Ghulam Rasool, Shakeel Baloch, Kalil Ahmed, Sarfaraz Baloch, Qasim Baloch, Riaz, Saddam, Shahid, Zafar, Naeem, Naseeb, Kamran, Javed and Afsheen. As per the recent report, they were released.

BBC Urdu, DW Urdu, Greek Media, HUM TV, SAMAA TV and othe media networks and journalists joined the sit-in for coverage of the movement on 10-01-2024.

2. HOW MANY NEW FAMILIES JOINED THE SIT-IN?
07 new families joined the camp on 10-01-2024.

3. UPDATES FROM BALOCHISTAN
Resisting State oppression, demonstrations on solidarity with the movement and against the Baloch genocide were organized in Kuhlo and Rakni.

One person, Mansoor Baloch from Buleda, was released on 10-1-2023.

The protest rallies are continuing from Balochistan, and the sit-in against Baloch Genocide continues outside the National Press Club, Islamabad. The movement will persist till the End of Baloch Genocide.
