Department of Environment Engineering of Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology celebrated by arranging a seminar based on the theme "Only one Earth" in collaboration with Kamyab-Jawan Program under HEC Islamabad, Sindh Irrigation & Drainage Authority (SIDA), & M.H Panhwar Institute of Sindh Studies Jamshoro. The event was organized in the committee room of SIDA Secretariat, Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan on 5th June, 2022. The Organizer of the program Prof. Dr. Kishan Chand Mukwana welcomed the guests and participants. Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo, Worthy Vice Chancellor, Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering Science & Technology was the honorable chief guest on this auspicious event.
Keynote speakers Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Prof. Dr. Rasool Bux Mahar, Engr. Ghulam Mustafa Ujjan, Mr Adeel Emad Siddiqui, Dr. Amanullah Mahar, Mr. Ghulam Sarwar Panhwar and others shared their views to highlight the importance of World Environment Day.

CIRCULAR
It is circulated for information to 18, F-18 and 19 Batch students that their respective Final Semester Examinations are in the process of rescheduling and are being planned. The Examinations Time Table for that is under preparation and shall be notified very soon.

The students of all the above mentioned batches are advised to keep prepared fully as paralelly they have to attend the next semester classes.

Furthermore, the students are advised to rely only on the Notifications and Circulars displayed on QUEST official wesite www.quest.edu.pk. Investigation has also been initiated against the culprits who are issuing fake circulars and misguiding the students.

🌳 Energy and Environmental engineering (EE)🌳
Environmental engineering is one of the best degrees because future of the whole world is in the hands of environmentalists. Human beings are polluting air, water and soil since the world came into existence. This pollution does not only effect environment but it has also damaged all forms of life too. Environmental Engineering is most important degree in the whole world because, if the environment is clean then there will be no diseases and all the forms of life will be safe. We have always heard a phrase which is “Prevention is better than cure”; it means that if the air and water are not contaminated then different diseases will not spread and it is true to some extent.
Environmental engineers use biology and chemistry in their field to help control pollution. The major duty of environmentalist is to control water and air pollution. Their duty includes providing clean drinking water, healthy air, and fertile land to mankind. They also have a big role in recycling, waste disposal and public health issues. They also purify industrial waste water by waste water treatment systems. They do not only study but also practically help us to control acid rain, global warming, automobile emission and ozone depletion. Some of them also help us in protection of wild life. They use latest technologies to deal with the problems of environmental pollution, energy preservation and human wastes

Areas of work:

An environmentalist can work with NGOs, Environmental Protection Department, Solid waste management departments, Research journals, Irrigation department, Media, Testing laboratories, Municipalities, Universities, and Water supply and treatment departments. They can also work as Consultants, Research engineers, Regulators, Administrators, NGO activist, scientific writers. Green Peace is one of the most active NGO which is working for environment and they hire environmentalists on a large scale. Environmentalists can get jobs in testing labs and they get offers of data collecting jobs. They can also be a part of academia by going into lectureship.

We students of 17 batch request Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Saleem Raza Samo & Provost M.Aamir Bhutto that kindly extend the said date(12 November, 2020) for vacating the hostel rooms because still we are remaining with final year project, thesis & Viva. After this we will give possession to the concerned hostel management by our own.
This is injustice to students. Kindly ponder over it & issue the notification for extension of hostel possession.
Also, the new batch is yet to come. The whole process of their admission is remaining then why we leave now? Where we will live during FYP Preparation?
