Pran and NoorJahan starred together in popular romantic duets in the 1940s, including in the successful film Khandan. Pran's career had a brief break after India's partition in 1947, but he launched his career in Bombay with the film Ziddi in 1948. Pran went on to become one of the highly successful and respected veteran actors in Indian cinema, playing hero roles from 1940-47, a villain from 1948-1991, and supporting and character roles from 1967-2007. He was also one of the highest-paid actors of his time and was given the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2013.

روبن گهوش کی وفات

نامورفلمی موسیقاراورفلمسٹارشبنم کے شوہر روبن گهوش نے 13 فروری 2016 کو ڈهاکہ میں وفات پائی
روبن گھوش کے والد انٹرنیشنل ریڈ کراس سے منسلق تھے۔ انکی عراق تعیناتی کے دوران 1939ء میں روبن گھوش کی پیدائش ہوئی اور چھ سال کی عمر میں وہ اپنے والدین کے ساتھ بنگال ،ڈھاکہ میں آ کر رہنے لگے۔ یہیں پر ان کو موسیقی میں دلچسبی پیدا ہوئی اور انھوں نے ڈھاکہ سے موسیقی میں تعلیم حاصل کی۔
روبن گھوش نے فلمی گانوں کے لیے موسیقی ترتیب دینے کا آغاز بنگالی فلموں سے کیا۔ 1961ء میں فلم "چندا" ان کے کیرئیر کی پہلی اردو فلم تھی۔ ان کے فنی کیرئیر کی سب سے مشہور فلم آئینہ ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ 'احساس'، 'امنگ'،'چکوری'،'چاہت'،شرافت'،'تلاش' اور 'بندش' کے موسیقار بھی روبن گوش تھے۔'جو ڈر گیا، وہ مر گیا' ان کی آخری پاکستانی فلم تھی۔
روبن گھوش کو 6 مرتبہ نگار ایوارڈ حاصل کرنے کا اعزاز حاصل ہے۔
