𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐌’𝐬 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 💙😍

Based on the neutral combination of Lilac & Purple I got the curtains and the walls painted. We bought a new bed from Habitt with attached side tables because this room was smaller to accommodate our original bed and we needed one in it for us till the baby would be old enough to sleep alone.

I got the neon sign in purple for our Hashtag from Neon Strikes It was expensive but their quality is great since they don’t deal in RGB lights but only real neon ones.

I got Mustafa’s Crib from . It is easily movable, can be attached to the bed after removing the side railing, has a storage compartment below and came with a bassinet inside which was super convenient with a tiny baby. It had everything I wanted that too in amazing quality so 10/10 for that.

After struggling to find a changing table anywhere in Pakistan, I decided to get it custom made from my carpenter as per my need. I told him the basic design, how it should be deep enough to accommodate the changing pad, measurements, how I wanted the drawers as well as a side cabinet for hanging clothes and he made it perfectly Alhamdulillah. ♥️
The changing pad was bought from KSA through my sister.

The wooden shelves and Alphabet M on the wall were inspired by Pinterest and crafted by the carpenter as well. The stars were painted by my cousin with acrylic paint and I dedicated my sliding mirror double door cupboard for Baby M’s stuff.

The shelves are decorated with toys from , wooden plank for Baby M’s birth announcement by Happy Crafts and finally the most beautiful addition to his Nursery is the Birth Plaque created my Sajawat Mahal

The idea was inspired by Pinterest since I hadn’t seen anyone in Pakistan making a Birth plaque from Resin art. We discussed the details like Color theme, information and picture to put in etc and then she sent me this gorgeous piece of art that I couldn’t stop adoring 🥰 MashaAllah MashaAllah I’m in love with it and will be forever thankful to her for the precious gift 🤩

So I recently got my makeover done from Sarah & Ruba from for a close wedding and absolutely loved the whole look. ♥️

Specially how she did the lips was commendable. I’m generally very particular about my lip shade but the one she made was perfect 🤩 I never asked her to lighten/brighten it which I usually do a lot with the MUAs 😂

She asked how I wanted the eyes to be and I requested glittery look with rosy edges to compliment my Sarree and she achieved that perfectly MashaAllah ♥️

As you all must know it’s extremely hot these days but even for a party makeover, the base remained smoothly intact for hours Alhamdulillah 😍

For my hair I gave them a general idea of how I wanted it to be and they honestly outperformed my expectations. Very quick and neat. 🤩

Everything I arranged for Baby M’s Aqiqah was Alhamdulillah & MashaAllah PERFECT which included the Cake made by Cups'n'Cakes

The first time I tried her cake was when my SILs got it made for Mustafa’s homecoming and I instantly loved it (attaching a picture of it as well)
I knew that very moment, next time whenever I would need a cake it’s going to be from her ♥️😄

This time I chose the malt flavour and I kid you not it was the BEST!! Perfectly balanced sweet flavour with a moist sponge. Reminded me of Delizia’s malt cake♥️♥️

She also copied the design perfectly from the sample picture. We agreed to do a printed picture of the cartoon instead of the cookie.

I told her I’ll pay online and paid her late at night after I got free from the event and she accommodated me really well ♥️

She’s definitely going to be my top pick cake artist from now on 🤩🥰

For Baby M’s Aqiqah my makeup was perfectly done by

I requested for light glittery eyes with Smokey edges and she achieved them beautifully 😍 I had a subtle yet glowy look and even in such high humidity my base remained intact till the end. Everyone who saw my makeup live complimented it Alhamdulillah ♥️

The hair was gorgeously done by
She came home on time and showed me different hair looks roughly so I could decide what would look the best. She was very quick and professional.😍

The whole family is extremely happy with the pictures. The photographer was right on time, took pictures for straight 4 hours with a smile on his face and patiently did Baby M’s photoshoot even when he kept crying in the middle and we had to take breaks.

The pictures quality is amazing but unfortunately instagram ruins it a little. 😫

I absolutely can’t wait to see the album 😍

𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐌’𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝! 💙

I got a customised romper, cap and wrapping sheet for Mustafa’s first day from Happy Crafts .She was sweet enough to also send a customised bib with it ♥️

When I was researching ideas to announce Baby M on social media, I came across these wooden planks and I instantly knew I wanted one. I showed Mahnoor a sample picture from Instagram and asked her to customise it with the text I wanted and Ta-Daa she made it exactly how I wanted it to be 😍

Being super efficient thank God I ordered these things in my 7th month only as Mustafa came early in his 8 month, I literally didn’t have anything else ready except for these 😂♥️

The plank now sits beautifully in Baby M’s Nursery 😍 Alhamdulillah

𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐱𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐌! 💙

We had a huge list of friends & family and honestly customised tin boxes were really expensive so I decided to break the list into 2 categories:

1/2kg boxes for close family and friends &;
250g boxes for extended family and friends.

I took quotes from at least 10 different pages but found Personalizzato to be the most reasonable.

She has been doing my customised orders since 5 years now. From making a customised cake topper on our engagement and fulfilling the order of our engraved nikkah pen to finally printing our baby’s birth announcement boxes 😅♥️
She’s my go to person for so many things I can’t even list them all down 😝

Highly recommended once again!! 🥰

Happy First Mother’s Day to Myself! ♥️

This year, it’s about me and how I finally understand why Allah has blessed Jannah under the feet of all mothers. It’s about how I struggle each day to do the best for my little bundle of joy while also making sure I’m being the strongest version of myself to be there for him, that too without any acknowledgment or appreciation because why would I get any? That’s literally what all Mothers do so how am I any different or special ?

But let me tell ya’ll, that’s not going to work with me. I know I’m special and super awesome for trying to raise a little human. I know I’m a force that can take down anything that’s not good for my baby or myself. Just like every other mother, I am a super mom in my own kind way and nobody can take that away from me. ♥️

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐈’𝐦 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐭? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐈 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝? 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭?

Honestly, I was asked these questions sooo many times over the last few months that I started fearing people’s expectations and decided not to share it publicly. But then I thought even if it was something bleh for others, it will always be supeerrr special for me, so why not? 🥰

Getting that one single line on the stick every time was such a regular for me that when I finally saw the two positive lines I refused to believe them. 🙈

I didn’t break the news to Sohaib in any cute, insta worthy way. Instead I just came out the washroom crying hysterically with one hand on my mouth and the other holding the stick. He got scared and kept asking me what happened and I couldn’t say a word. After a few moments I showed him the stick and his du***ss didn’t even understand what it meant so he asked me and that finally made the crying stop as I irritatedly told him I might be pregnant 😂

He was in denial even more than I was. Since the second line was really light, I decided to ask my Amma & Bajjo instantly over WhatsApp if it could mean something. So within minutes all 3 of us were crying over the phone together 😂

I didn’t do any fancy family announcement shenanigans because I wanted to surprise his family as soon as we received the blood test report the next day (I wanted to be REALLY sure before telling them so no one would get hurt otherwise)

I could only manage to order 6 cupcakes with their new TITLES (swipe right to see the picture) and handed over the box to my SILs.
Not exaggerating, but they were literally screaming, jumping and clapping with excitement and hugged me 😄 That was an extremely precious moment and will always remain close to my heart ❤️ Chachu, Dada and Dadu were also exceptionally happy and emotional, MashaAllah 😇

16th April 2022! Today was your due date Mustafa.

The date that Mama had her eyes on ever since she found out about your existence. But you decided to show up 35 days earlier leaving your Mama and Baba thrilled 😄

It’s been over a month you’re here with me and it feels like I’ve known you for years ♥️ The feeling of you being in my arms, gripping my finger with your tiny hand and looking at me with those shiny eyes but with a frown because you’ve already got so much attitude, is indescribable 🥰

Mama is head over heels in love with you. I hope I don’t end up spoiling you with all the love I’ve in store for you 🙈 Can’t believe you’ll soon be big enough to not fit into my arms anymore,In Sha Allah 😍

But honestly, I don’t want the time to run away so fast, can I just seize this moment here with you, forever? ♥️

𝙈𝙮 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝘾𝙊𝙎 𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙮

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 3 (𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙀𝙈𝙀𝘿𝙄𝙀𝙎)

Before I talk about this in detail, I want to give a disclaimer that these are the things that worked out for ME after I judged my body and symptoms for years. I’m in no way claiming these remedies to be the only way to manage pcos or that they would work for everyone in the same way that they did for me. Please remember each body is different, you need to decide what’s best for you and how can you do it in the most effective manner.

Here’s a list of things that proved to be beneficial for me:

1) NO SUGAR
This meant cutting off sugar in ALL forms. No exceptions at all.

I used to have Kellogg’s cereal/ oatmeal/ boiled eggs for breakfast. During the day I would have non-fattening fruits or vegetables to curtail my hunger and since I couldn’t afford any special diet food daily so normal desi dinner which would mean 1 roti or a small plate of rice. I allowed myself 1 cheat day a week to satisfy my cravings.

Luckily I only had to follow this routine for 2 months in which I lost 5 kgs and then surprisingly I conceived. However throughout my pregnancy I avoided junk food and sugar at my max. This not only helped in keeping my insulin levels down, I also didn’t put on any extra weight during my pregnancy. Only gained about 6 kgs and bounced back to my pre-pregnancy weight in only a week after my delivery Alhamdulillah.

2) WALK WALK WALK
The two months that I followed the strict diet, I made sure to also walk at least 30 minutes a day.

3) HIJAMA FOR PCOS
This I strictly followed for more than 2 years. But all of you need to understand that this is not a one time thing neither it is something magical. You need to be REALLY consistent with your Hijama which should be done at least every quarter and also have faith that Allah will make it better for you. I honestly believe your Imaan plays a significant role in making this beneficial.

𝙈𝙮 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙋𝘾𝙊𝙎 𝙩𝙤 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙮

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 2 (𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙐𝙂𝙂𝙇𝙀)

This was definitely the most difficult time for me, and also is for anyone else suffering from PCOS- to finally figure out what works for your body and then remain steadfast on it.

So after I visited multiple doctors for PCOS and didn’t see things working out for me, I decided to give up on all medications and tried obtaining healthy eating habits and lifestyle. Based on my research this was the only thing that could help with managing your PCOS in the long run.

Medicines, Specific Diets like Keto, Intermittent fasting etc are all temporary fixes and will only be effective until you’re following them. You can’t possibly make them your ‘lifestyle’ and as soon as you’ll discontinue them your symptoms specially your weight will bounce back more than ever.

For me (and I’m sure many of you can relate) the biggest challenge was to lose weight. Because I had never been fat in my life, I didn’t know how to diet or control my cravings. I tried different diets and totkas but it was always extremely difficult for me to remain consistent. I even did the gym for a while but couldn’t continue it because of covid.

Mind you with PCOS it gets tougher to lose weight because your current weight is constantly increasing due to hormonal changes. So even after slightly cutting the diet or working out, a person with PCOS can only manage to maintain their existing weight whereas a normal person would have easily lost a good enough weight.

So if you’re serious about overcoming PCOS and really wish to bring those kgs down, you’ve to go all EXTREME and literally alter your entire living situation.

I for one can say this with experience, it’s easier said than done 😭 Specially if you’re someone like me who loves meetha and has midnight cravings for junk like a hungry hound 😓
