Time to praise the local talent.
Kuch mahinoun pehlay i talked about a short film created by some young lads in Pakistan by the name of 'ELO'.
Jab maine uss k baarei mei likha tha usse kuch time pehlay these guys won an award in a local film festival.
Ab aapko jaan k khushi hogi k these guys have won two awards in an Indian film festival by the name of Filmera. Yehi nahi, 'ELO' has become the first Pakistani short film to be played on Disney Hotstar. Jee, this short film is now being played on Dinsney Hotstar and thats BIGG!!

Congratulations guyss!!

I feel that we have a lot of talent but they dont have proper platforms or opportunities to showcase that talent. I hope that relevant authorities recognize the effort of such people and bring them on front so that we can have quality content, thats not just entertaining and can be enjoyed with family but also highlight some of the major issues like mental health and su***de in a very light manner.

Congrats, you guys, again!

We have heard and known adult’s su***de, which depicts the major issues of our society, and it's encircling our youth as the time is passing. Our quick judgments, social pressure, and expectations compel our youth to take this brutal step.

I have just seen this short film ‘Elo’ by Parinda Films and Syed saad Farrukh. The film focuses on how distinct people, circumstances, and worst aspects of our society lead our youths to give up on their life in the most exciting period of their time. This silent film provokes the importance of professional help, which every youth needed the most at this time of economic crises.

The film is already screened in six international film festivals; won two awards at the “Filmeraa Festival 2020” for “ Best short Film” &” Best Actor”.

I would like to appreciate the entire team of Parinda Films who brilliantly portrayed such an important message in the film.

Its Saturday night and i was kind of free toh mere samnay ye short film ayi named ELO. Its a silent film and is about the struggles that the young adults go through nowadays and sometimes that leads to depression and su***de. This is happening more and more nowadays. And we need to understand that we have to be good to everyone cause we dont know what one is going through. Sometimes there are wars in ones mind and we dont know. Khair i liked all the little details that were added to this shortfilm and how the makers have portrayed a very serious issue in a lighter way. The film focuses on how different people in society are behind someone's depression and su***de. Matlab koi ese he jaa k khud kushi nahi krleta. There are many people behind a su***de.
Phr mjhe pata chala k this shortfilm entered in seven festivals and won two awards and thats good, good that people are giving value to such content and liking it and that the issue of depression and su***de is getting some attention.
And i feel k ab ye content toh ana shru hogaya hai k kistrha logou ko su***de ki taraf push kia jata hai lekn ab ese content ki bhi bht zarurat hai jo logoun ko depression se nikaal sakay aur unko self worth k baarei mei bata sakay.
Iss post ka maqsad ye hai k hamara media ghissay pittay ishqiya content ko chorh kr meaningful content ko taraf aye jisse awareness paida ki jaa sakay aur society ko behtar banaya jaa sakay. Cause media plays a greater role in shaping up the ideas and thoughts of our generation. Meaningful content should always be promoted i feel!

A review coming from her matters all the more since she is a qualified therapist and clinical psychologist from Karachi, provides counseling and psychotherapy to people with anxiety, depression, addiction and other psycho-social issues, and often shares her personal experiences on TV.
