- Is this The Resilience We Need? -
This is not an Ai generated Image. This in fact proves the point that how adapted we have become to our circumstances. This nation has learned to turn any situation into the new normal. In a way it's good but in a lot of ways it's really wrong. Remember the CNG crisis just 8 or so years ago. We use to line up our cars on the fuel stations and wait for hours just to get our tanks filled with CNG because it was a cheaper alternative to petrol or diesel.
Then there was UPS epidemic. Every house had one. Then there were those who could afford generators and now fast forward to NOW, we have solar panels almost everywhere. These are not technological advancements. These are examples of BAD CIRCUMSTANCES forced upon us Pakistanis.
There are many examples like these and I feel it's our reaction to these circumstances that defines us as a nation. Because everytime I see how people line up to ration up themselves in scarcity, how prices go up when there is more demand and how we keep getting the bashing day after day and then there are those who can afford to leave, leave the country instead of standing up for things that we actually deserve as human beings really defines who we are.
This innate behavior to survive that is triggered in our people over decades has made us like that insect that even survived through nuclear bomb.
The big question here is that, is this the life we really have to live? Think about it!
