He started his creative journey while graduating as a Fashion Designer from Iqra University. He fell in love with the creative process starting from a croqui to a live model. Umer began taking pictures only to freeze his creations for lifetime. But before he knew it, he realized that photography was his true passion and he started doing it more seriously and in no time he was popular amongst frien
ds and teachers in university as an artist and photographer. As his creative instincts never left him to discover his new gifts each day, he started taking part in dramatics as an actor and enjoyed writing & directing his own plays in the university. Luck took him to one of the famous directors of Pakistan, Syed Shakir Uzair who casted him in his play Ajal which was a hit and Umer received compliments of a born actor from the director and fellow cast. From there onwards Umer never looked back and after completed his Graduation in 2007, He left for England for a Masters in Digital Media from London Metropolitan University with a passion to make a name in the world of Fashion & Media. During his masters in London, Umer also took the opportunity to complete a Diploma in Photography & Makeup from London Institute of Media. Film & TV, He never missed a chance to work with International Artists, Photographers, Fashion Designers, Makeup Artists & Directors. In 2009, Umer returned to Pakistan and started his own label “Its AGE’s”, a house to Fashion Design & Photography where he started giving his creative services. As his hunger to achieve more and more in life, Umer also joined A-Plus TV Channel as an associate director and producer to achieve his ultimate dream of becoming a Director. In no time due to his unconventional creative streak, he was promoted to a Director & Producer. In a relatively short amount of time, Umer earned the respect of his senior directors, artists, photographers and celebrities alike. In 2012, Umer joined “ Six Sigma Entertainment”, a production house by “Humayun Saeed” & “Shahzad Naseeb” as the Creative Head of the company while taking care of all the creative including sets, art direction, wardrobe and styling for Dramas, On Air Promotions and Films,. He also continues to give freelance services as Creative Director, Art Director, Stylist & Photographer for commercials and music videos. Same year, Umer renamed his lable from "Its AGE's" to his name "UMER GULZARI", to offer a variety of more services as Director, Producer, Photographer, Production Designer, Publicity Designer & Costume Designer. It is UMER GULZARI’s mission to provide a one stop solution to Commercial Clients, Production houses, TV Channels, Fashion Labels & Individual Brands to what fits best to their creative requirements. Amongst his popular works are Music Videos like “Bailya by Faakhir” as Art Director, Stylist & Photographer, “Atom Bomb by Faakhir” as Producer, Art Director & Photographer, “Bankay Choray by Aniqa” as Art Director & Line Producer. His famous TV shows as Director & Producer are “T with T”, “Rockstar Goes 2 School”, Boom On Live, Soch hai Aapki etc. He has the honour of working with industry’s famous like Humayun Saeed, Javed Shiekh, Nadeem Baig, Shafqat Cheema, Ismail Tara, Mahnoor Baloch, Shahid Afridi, Shaan, Tariq Amin, Nadia Hussain, Amar Belal, Ali Azmat, Adnan Siddiqui, Marina Khan, Sajid Hasan, Ayesha Umar, Shaista Wahidi, Faisal Qureshi, Faakhir, Zara Shiekh etc.
