Introduction
Over the past few years, a dozen of independent television channels have sprung up, from general networks to specialized news, fashion and music stations. Increasing globalization and lack of any electronic medium has not only diminished the cultural values of Gilgit Baltistan but also the lack of electronic medium has bad affected the tourism industry. Moreover this is the long aspiration of the people of Gilgit Baltistan to raise their voice for their due rights through electronic media. In all this, people of Gilgit Baltistan have started feeling that they are lost somewhere in modernism and unfortunately others cultures dominant their life style. Moreover there is a substantial need of a strong electronic medium where they can raise their problems, highlight their culture and beauty of their land.
By keeping all this in mind, it is decided to launch a channel that would become the source of entertainment, information as well as possess Gilgit Baltistan’s cultural elements with true Islamic values for the people of Gilgit Baltistan, entire Pakistan as well as people living in abroad and for international community also.
