It's true! China controlled one outbreak in a very big province 2 months ago and they are able to restrict the current one. There has been a new outbreak recently which has affected more than 19 provinces and has caused 500+ infections in two weeks. A major proportion of the people who got infected were those who were not vaccinated. And a majority of those who were vaccinated remained asymptomatic.

یہ بات بالکل درست ہے کہ ویکسین کورونا اور اس کی نئی اقسام کے خلاف انتہائی موثر ہے۔ چین نے دو ماہ پہلے ایک بہت بڑے صوبے میں ہونے والی آوٹ بریک کو ایک ماہ کے اندر اندر قابو کیا۔ ابھی یہاں ایک اور بڑی آوٹ بریک شروع ہوئی ہے جس میں انیس سے زاہد صوبے اور 500 سے زاہد افراد متاثر ہوئے۔ لیکن دلچسپ امر یہ ہے کہ انفیکٹ ہونے والوں میں بہت بڑی تعداد ان کی ہے جن کو ویکسین نہیں لگی تھی۔ اور جن کو ویکسین لگی ہے لیکن وہ انفیکٹ ہوئے ان لوگوں میں سے کسی میں بھی سنجیدہ یا خطرناک علامات پیدا نہیں ہوئیں۔ بلکہ اکثریت کو کوئی علامات آئی ہی نہیں۔ لہذا ویکسین لگوائیں اپنے لیے اپنے پیاروں کی صحت و حیات کے لیے۔

There were not 3 cases. There were around 3000 cases between 2007 and 2016, among which 56% are of women. Do you know acid attacks decreased after Sharmeen Obaid's film became famous (or infamous) and won Oscar? 50% reduction in 2016 from 2014, the only country in the world which saw a decrease in violence against women was Pakistan and that was because of this activism and speaking up.

DG Rangers has no idea what he is talking about. He should better stick to his own job and the people who invited him should be ashamed of their stupidity. Also, drugs come under ANF and not Rangers. Why was he invited? He didn't say one thing about drugs. Thank god! That is also not his area of expertise. Otherwise, that too would've been blamed on women and activists.

Plus, nobody said London or other places don't have this problem of acid attacks. But there are three things;

1. We live in Pakistan, not London, so we need to be concerned about Pakistan even if there were one case.

2. Nobody's saying this problem doesn't exist anywhere else.

3. You can check even in London, who is involved in acid attacks and you'll be surprised.

DG sb should better not poke his nose in social or cirminal matters. I am surprised he expressed distraught on the law which states that Rangers can only keep people for 24 hours. Why Sir? You want to keep them forever and why'd you want that, one wonders.

“I feel that right from its inception, Pakistan will face some very serious problems:

1. The incompetent political leadership will pave the way for military dictatorship as it has happened in many Muslim countries.

2. The heavy burden of foreign debt.

3. Absence of friendly relationship with neighbours and the possibility of armed conflict.

4. Internal unrest and regional conflicts.

5. The loot of national wealth by the neo-rich and industrialists of Pakistan.

6. The apprehension of class war as a result of exploitation by the neo-rich.

7. The dissatisfaction and alienation of the youth from religion and the collapse of the theory of Pakistan.

8. The conspiracies of the international powers to control Pakistan.

In this situation, the stability of Pakistan will be under strain
and the Muslim countries will be
in no position to provide any worthwhile help.

The assistance from other sources will not come without strings and it will force both ideological and territorial compromises.”
