Arshad Majeed Mohmand, a Grade-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan.

He will replace Abrar Ahmad Mirza in the key administrative post.

Mohmand has held several key administrative and policy positions in both federal and provincial governments during his civil service career. His previous assignments include Special Secretary and Additional Secretary in the Power Division of the Government of Pakistan, Chairman NHA, Senior Member Board of Revenue in Balochistan, Additional Chief Secretary Balochistan, Home Secretary Balochistan, Secretary Establishment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Commissioner in the provincial administration.

Mohmand has also served on the boards of major public sector energy companies, including Pakistan State Oil (PSO), K-Electric, National Power Parks Management Company, and Sukkur Electric Power Company.
