شیخ فریدی ایک فرضی کردار ہے جو سادہ لوح بھی ہے اور ایماندار بھی لیکن اس کے دل میں بھی معاشرے کے کے عام لوگوں کی طرح ایک آسودہ زندگی گزارنے کی خواہش موجود ہے۔جس کی وجہ سے وہ خود کو خوشی دینے کی خاطر شیخ اور رئیس لوگوں کی طرح خود کو کو آراستہ رکھنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔
یہ کردار ان لوگوں کی عکاسی کرتا ہے جو مفلسی کو نظر انداز کرتے ہوئے خواہشات کو ضروریات پر ترجیح دیتے ہیں اور دنیاوی زیب و زینت اپناتے ہیں لیکن نتیجہ ہمیشہ ان کی توقع کے برعکس ہوتا ہے۔اس کے ساتھ ہی یہ کردار ان امیر اور رئیس لوگوں کو بھی تنقید کا نشانہ بناتا ہے جو اپنی دولت کے نشے میں تکبر اور غرور کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہیں لیکن یہ بھول جاتے ہیں کہ ان کا حال بھی شیخ فریدی کی طرح ہوسکتا ہے اور وہ بھی ایک غریب شیخ ہوکر رہ جائیں گے جس کے پاس صرف خواب ہی خواب ہیں۔
یہ کردار "شیخ فریدی" ، جہاں اپنی حماقتوں سے دوسروں کو تفریح اور مزاح فراہم کرتا ہے وہیں اس کی حماقتوں میں معاشرتی اصلاح کا پہلو بھی پوشیدہ ہوتا ہے لیکن دیگر کہانیوں کی طرح ان کہانیوں سے بھی صرف سمجھنے والے لوگ ہی مستفید ہوسکتے ہیں۔

Sheikh Faridi is a fictitious character who is simple and honest, but he also has a desire to live a comfortable life like ordinary people of the society, Because of this, he tries to make himself attractive to people like Sheikh and Raees in order to please himself.
This role reflects those who ignore poverty and give priority to desires and adopt worldly decoration, but the result is always contrary to their expectations.At the same time, the character also criticizes rich and noble people who show pride and pride in their addictions and they are utterly indifferent to the creatures of God and careless but they forget that their situation can be similar to that of Sheikh Fareedi and that they too will remain as a poor Sheikh who has only dreams.
The role of "Sheikh Faridi", where he provides entertainment and humor to others with his foolishness, also has aspects of social reform in his foolishness but like other stories, only those who understand these stories can benefit.

شیخ فریدی بطور استاد
شیخ فریدی نے بطور استاد فرائض سرانجام دینا شروع کر دیے۔پہلے دن جب اس نے اپنی کلاس کا آغاز کیا تو اس نے طلباء سے پوچھا: "بچو! کیا کسی کو کوئی ایسی چیز معلوم ہے جو پاکستان میں نئی ایجاد کی گئی ہو"۔
ایک طالب علم نے ہاتھ کھڑا کیا:"جی سر مجھے پتا ہے"۔
شیخ فریدی:"بتائو! کیا چیز ہے وہ؟"
طالب علم موبائل میں عربی گانا لگاتا ہے اور ناچنے لگ جاتا ہے۔اس لڑکے کی دیکھا دیکھی دوسرے لڑکے بھی اٹھ کر ناچنے لگ جاتے ہیں۔ پہلے تو شیخ فریدی کو غصہ آتا ہے پھر اس کو بھی مزہ آنے لگ جاتا ہے اور وہ بھی ناچنے لگ جاتا ہے۔ یوں دیکھتے ہی دیکھتے پورا سکول ناچنے لگ جاتا ہے۔تھوڑی دیر بعد شیخ فریدی کو یاد آتا ہے کہ یہ تو اسکول ہے۔ بس یہ یاد آنا تھا کہ شیخ فریدی سب کو کو مار مار کر بٹھا دیتا ہے اور ڈانٹتے ہوئے کہتا ہے: " یہ سکول ہے یا کلب؟"۔

Sheikh Fardi started performing duties as a teacher. On the first day when he started his class, he asked the students: "Beware! Does anyone know anything that has been invented in Pakistan"?
One student raised his hand: "Yes Sir I know".
Sheikh Faridi: "Tell me! What is that?"
The student puts up an Arabic song on the mobile and starts dancing. The boy's seen and the other boys get up and dance. At first, Sheikh Faridi gets angry and then he starts to have fun and he too starts to dance. After watching this, the whole school starts dancing. After a while, Sheikh Faridi remembers that this is a school. It was just a matter of remembering that Sheikh Faridi beats everyone and scolds him and says: "Is this a school or a club?"
