شیخ فریدی ایک فرضی کردار ہے جو سادہ لوح بھی ہے اور ایماندار بھی لیکن اس کے دل میں بھی معاشرے کے کے عام لوگوں کی طرح ایک آسودہ زندگی گزارنے کی خواہش موجود ہے۔جس کی وجہ سے وہ خود کو خوشی دینے کی خاطر شیخ اور رئیس لوگوں کی طرح خود کو کو آراستہ رکھنے کی کوشش کرتا ہے۔
یہ کردار ان لوگوں کی عکاسی کرتا ہے جو مفلسی کو نظر انداز کرتے ہوئے خواہشات کو ضروریات پر ترجیح دیتے ہیں اور دنیاوی زیب و زینت اپناتے ہیں لیکن نتیجہ ہمیشہ ان کی توقع کے برعکس ہوتا ہے۔اس کے ساتھ ہی یہ کردار ان امیر اور رئیس لوگوں کو بھی تنقید کا نشانہ بناتا ہے جو اپنی دولت کے نشے میں تکبر اور غرور کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہیں لیکن یہ بھول جاتے ہیں کہ ان کا حال بھی شیخ فریدی کی طرح ہوسکتا ہے اور وہ بھی ایک غریب شیخ ہوکر رہ جائیں گے جس کے پاس صرف خواب ہی خواب ہیں۔
یہ کردار "شیخ فریدی" ، جہاں اپنی حماقتوں سے دوسروں کو تفریح اور مزاح فراہم کرتا ہے وہیں اس کی حماقتوں میں معاشرتی اصلاح کا پہلو بھی پوشیدہ ہوتا ہے لیکن دیگر کہانیوں کی طرح ان کہانیوں سے بھی صرف سمجھنے والے لوگ ہی مستفید ہوسکتے ہیں۔

This role reflects those who ignore poverty and give priority to desires and adopt worldly decoration, but the result is always contrary to their expectations.At the same time, the character also criticizes rich and noble people who show pride and pride in their addictions and they are utterly indifferent to the creatures of God and careless but they forget that their situation can be similar to that of Sheikh Fareedi and that they too will remain as a poor Sheikh who has only dreams.
