On this day in 1898, the Philippines emerged officially free. But behind this proclamation lies a tapestry woven with the blood and ink of those who devoted their lives to defend our nation’s right. Let us pause, in this moment, to honor the valor of these brave souls who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Their history, written into the pages of time, is a lighthouse that points the way for us to go.
As we revel in the spirit of independence, let us reiterate our dedication to defending the freedom they so passionately fought for as we celebrate independence.
