The Philippine Coconut Authority Zamboanga Sibugay delivers oil palm seedlings to the towns of Tungawan and Titay under the Smallholder Oil Palm Development Project for calendar year 2024, aiming to develop oil palm cultivation among smallholders, boosting local agricultural productivity and economic development. Tungawan receives approximately 2,760 seedlings for a 20-hectare area, while Titay receives about 2,208 seedlings for 16 hectares.

Zamboanga del Sur - rivers and its tributaries particularly Kumalarang, Tupilac, Labangan, Tumaga and Mapangi.

Zamboanga del Norte - rivers and its tributaries particularly Daro-Dapitan, Dipolog, Dicayas, Golio Duwait, Sindangan, Ingin (Maras), Palandoc, Mucas, Patawag, Quipit, Siocon, Piacan, Anungan, Pangamiran and Sibuco.

People living near the mountain slopes and in the low lying areas of the abovementioned river systems, and the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (LDRRMCs) concerned, are still ADVISED TO TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES.
