Among the committees he lost membership in were Energy, Justice, Public Accounts, and Constitutional Amendments.

Marcoleta linked his removal to his vocal support for Vice President Sara Duterte during budget deliberations, particularly concerning the controversial confidential funds in the 2025 General Appropriations Bill. He suggested that his removal was a consequence of his stance, stating that it was the "price to pay" for adhering to his principles and the rules of the House [16] [17].

This action followed a broader trend of political reshuffling in the House, highlighting the influence of intra-political alliances and disagreements over high-profile issues.
