Itinaas na po ang daily minimum wage sa NCR at Western Visayas at inaasahan po natin na magkakaroon din ng wage hike sa ibang mga rehiyon.

Nagpapasalamat po tayo sa DOLE at sa Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards ng NCR at Western Visayas sa pagtugon sa ating panawagan sa media sa mga nakalipas na buwan na dapat ipantay sa "living wage" ang minimum wage ng ating mga manggagawa.

Patuloy po tayong nananawagan sa iba pang Regional Wage Boards na madaliin ang ginagawa nilang pag-aaral at konsultasyon para makapagpatupad rin ng taas-sahod para sa ating mga manggagawa.

Agree ustedes na SIM Card Registration Act?

- Subscribers will be required to personally submit a registration form containing their full name, date of birth and address
- They must also present a valid government ID or similar documents that will verify their identity.
- Minors, meanwhile, must be accompanied by their parents or guardian during the purchase and registration of SIM cards.
- Also included: social media account providers to require users to register their real names and phone numbers before the creation of their social media accounts.

The bill proposes fines or imprisonment for failure to comply with the mandated registration, breach of confidentiality, use of fictitious identities, spoofing, and unauthorized sale of SIM cards.

NOTICE:

With extreme caution, Zamboanga City will be easing COVID-19 restrictions pursuant to a resolution approved by the Local IATF-COVID-19, Wednesday, November 10, with the following provisions:

1. Zamboanga City will be under General Community Quarantine Nov. 16- 30, subject to the approval of the NIATF.
2. Sunday lockdown will be lifted for fully vaccinated individuals effective November 14. Vaccination card will be a requirement.
3. Quarantine pass (QPass) requirement will be lifted for fully vaccinated individuals effective November 16. Vaccination card will take the place of the Qpass.
4. ‘Bakuna Bubble’ concept will be implemented in duly accredited tourism establishments.
5. Non-mandatory use of face shield in open spaces (mandatory in closed places) once the city gets the imprimatur of the NIATF.
6. Upon evaluation by the security sector and as endorsed by the health sector, curfew hours will be from 11pm to 4am starting Nov 16 under GCQ status.

As the city relaxes restrictions, the public is urged to REMAIN VIGILANT in the fight against COVID-19 by remaining strictly compliant with the safety and health protocols to prevent another surge.

ZAMBOANGA CITY DANCE TROUPE WINS GOLD!

The Philippines’ Nawan Cultural Dance Troupe from Zamboanga City raised the country’s flag in Bulgaria after winning the gold medal at the European Association of Folklore Festival, XI World Championship of Folklore “World Folk 2021.”

The multi-awarded folk dance troupe of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University was hailed champion among dance groups from all over the world in the online dance competition of the festival held from August 23 to 28.

The group submitted the video of “Subanen Suite” which is composed of different dances and beliefs to the Subanen tribe of the Zamboanga peninsula.
