Look| Last November 18, 2023, the SSLG Officers together with BKD and YES-O Officers and volunteer BSHS students offered a lightning of candle in remembrance and honoring lives lost on the roads. National Remembrance of Road Crash Victims, a solemn tribute to those we've lost and a call for safer journeys ahead.

The National Remembrance of Road Crash Victims is an annual event dedicated to commemorating individuals who have tragically lost their lives in traffic accidents. This poignant occasion serves as a collective reflection on the impact of road crashes and underscores the importance of road safety. ✨On October 4, 2023, the Baliwasan Senior High School Stand-Alone celebrated its school-based World Teacher's Day that was organized and headed by the Supreme Secondary Learner Government together with the Faculty as their way to express their love and gratitude to the dynamic BSHS teachers and to feel that they are valued.

The organizers prepared some activities and gave tokens that the teachers eagerly participated in and enjoyed. What an eventful day to remember and keep as memories in the future to come.

Regardless, it's shouldn't only be during Teacher's Day that we express our love and gratitude to them, but in every single day because of their untiring dedication to teach; Because, we learned new things, gained experience, test our knowledge, and were guided down the right path.✨

You can use Filipino or English language. Submission of your video entry will be on October 3, 2023.

LOOK| On September 25, the Baliwasan Senior High School community gathered for the launch of Family Week. The theme for this year's celebration was "Pamilyang Filipino: Pagtugon sa Nagbabagong Pananaw at Pananaw," which underscored the importance of Filipino families in adapting to changing perspectives and viewpoints.

The event began just as the usual flag ceremony was happening. The students, faculty, and staff gathered in the school grounds. The SSLG (Supreme Student Leaders' Government) Public Information Officer (PIO) and SSLG Vice President spearheaded the launch.

The SSLG Vice President took the stage, welcoming everyone and expressing gratitude for their presence. The SSLG PIO share her message about the Salo-salo day, highlighting the role of Filipino families in adapting to the evolving perspectives and ideologies of the modern world.

The launching of Family Week was successful, setting a tone of unity, understanding, and familial love for the entire Baliwasan Senior High School community.✨

Pollution isn’t pretty, is it? Are you concerned in protecting and advocating the importance of environment in our school as well as disfavor illegal drugs? Do you have what it takes to be a leader? If yes, then file your Certificate of Candidacy for the upcoming Youth for Environment in School Organization (YES-O) and Barkada Kontra Droga election 2023-2024.
The YES O and BKD is a school-based co-curricular organization which served as a significant venue for students’ actions and movements toward safeguarding, promoting, and conserving the environment and youths for future generations. Thus, our school is encouraging student leaders who want to be part of YES-O and BKD Officials and who want to serve our BSHS community to participate.

Candidates for President must be:
a. A Grade 12 student;
b. Of good academic standing with no failing grades in any subject;
c. Of good moral character and have not been subjected to any disciplinary sanctions; and
d. Not a President, Vice-President, Secretary or Treasurer in any other student clubs and organizations upon filling of the certificate of candidacy.

Candidates for Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Public Information Officer and Peace Officer must be:
a. Officially enrolled in any grade level in the current academic year;
b. Of good academic standing with no failing grades in any subject; and
c. Of good moral character and have not been subjected to any disciplinary sanctions.

LOOK| On September 20, 2023, the headquarters of the Air Combat Command of the Philippines Air Force conducted a seminar for Senior High School students at Baliwasan Senior High School Stand Alone. The intention was to hold the Campus Peace and Development Forum (CPDF) in support of Executive Order No. 70, which institutionalizes the whole-of-nation approach to achieving exclusive and sustainable peace, creating a national task force to end local Communist Armed Conflict, and directing the adoption of a national peace framework.

The seminar took place at the DOMRAC Laboratory, with the participation of some teachers, SSLG Officers, Presidents, Vice Presidents of G11 and G12. It was a great opportunity and a crucial topic for the students, particularly the orientation for Government Executives on the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) Problem.

TAKE A FLIGHT | VIAJE SSLG SUMMIT 2023🛫

✨Our BSHS-SA SSLG Executive officers, along with the adviser, Mr. Farhan A. Mistul, participated in the first-ever SSLG SUMMIT 2023 held on September 16, 2023, at Mayor Vitaliano Agan Coliseum.

It was a privilege to be part of this memorable event with other SSLG officers from the Zamboanga City Division who possess the skills, knowledge, and compassion to serve their respective schools. The youth leaders explored different booths that the organizers prepared for them, and they undoubtedly enjoyed the moment.

The BSHS-SA SSLG would like to express their gratitude to the facilitators and organizations for making this event successful. Also, they extend their thanks to the six (6) speakers: Ms. Fairy Ann E. Dulaca, Ms. Belsenhower Bonne D. Macas, Ms. Sheila Tiong, and Mr. Jason Idlisan, who guided and taught the audience about the DOs and DON'Ts, roles, and qualities of being an effective student government, taking them on a journey as experienced leaders themselves.

✨"If it's not me,then who? If it's not now,then when?"✨

On September 16, 2023, from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., the Baliwasan Senior High School Stand-Alone Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) took part in celebrating the International Coastal Cleanup Day led by the adviser, Mam Armaina Madjales, together with teachers, SSLG officers, and club volunteers who gathered at the RT. Lim Boulevard.

The activity was held to encourage and enlighten every individual about how crucial it is to maintain the cleanliness of our coasts and oceans.

We are grateful to the volunteers who actively participated in this activity and showed their care and love for the environment. Let's take initiative and have a positive influence on our community and surroundings. Even small actions can have a great influence, as demonstrated! 🌊🌍

LOOK| Last September 8, 2023 (Friday), from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., a lecture was held at the computer laboratory of Baliwasan Senior High School - Stand Alone. This lecture was attended by the SSLG Officers and Presidents with Vice Presidents of Grade 11 and 12 students from each class. The theme of the lecture was 'The Glass Generation,' focusing on family enrichment and youth empowerment to address issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression.

We would like to express our gratitude to the personnels of the Zamboanga City Police Station 11 Affairs Division for the successful organization of this informative event. It surely enlightened young people on how to handle possible circumstances and thought of different ways to better process the cross-check information they received.

✨ "HAPPY NATIONAL HEROES DAY" ✨

Celebrating National Heroes Day is a way to acknowledge, salute, and show gratitude to all heroes in the Philippines. All of them are great people who have made a big contribution to the goodness and welfare of our country.

They sacrifice their lives and sorrow to serve Filipino citizens.They dig up the obscure, hazardous situation and face it with bravery and perseverance to defeat the manipulative invaders.

We should also acknowledge our dear soldiers, medical facilitators, teachers, government officials, etc., especially all of the citizens out there who continue doing good deeds among every individual in our community.

Let's help each other build a strong connection between our citizens and our country. We should thank and salute all heroes out there and say this: "Taas noo't bilang Pilipino, saludo kami sa iyong pagmamahal sa bansa aming magiting na bayani."

Blessed day BSHS-SA Students! We would like to ask for your cooperation and support about the upcoming activities that will be implemented before the start of regular classes. Namely:

1. Psychosocial Support Activities - as part of the school mental health program, these are mental health activities that every students should participate during first week of classes.

2. Body Mass Index (BMI) of students
- As one of the health programs and in the PE curriculum, teachers are mandated to take the height and weight of their students and interpret their nutritional status.

In these regard, please be inform to bring some art materials such as crayons/colored pens, scissors, bond papers, etc.
