Unleash your Culinary Prowess and Create a Spectacular Masterpiece!
Come and Join the BINALONAN IRON CHEF, the Creative Cooking Showdown!

GUIDELINES, MECHANICS, and CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
THE COMPETITION
The challenge is to prepare a creative dish (ORIGINAL RECIPE) that highlights the use of BINALONAN LONGGANISA as the main ingredient.
The dishes could be:
 Appetizer
 Entrée/ Main Course
 Pastry/ Dessert
Four (4) servings will be prepared, one (1) of each is for display and the other three (3) will be served to the judges for tasting. All the dishes should be plated individually for competition purposes.
A limited time of three (3) hours will be given to each contender for preparation, cooking, and plating.
THE COMPETITORS
The competition is open to all residents of Binalonan, may it be a representative of any Barangay, School, business establishment or any government or private organizations. The team should comprise of two (2) members. They are required to be in the contest venue one (1) hour before the contest proper. Five (5) points will be deducted from the total score of the contestant who is late.
REQUIREMENTS
Each participant shall bring their own ingredients, cooking utensils, plates and silverware, cooking equipment, and LPG gas/ butane gas burners. Working tables will be provided. Things needed in the table set up and design shall be provided by the competing teams as it is included in the judging.
CONTEST MECHANICS
1. The main ingredient shall be AUTHENTIC BINALONAN LONGGANISA. Participants are free to invent/ develop their own original recipes. Creativity is encouraged.
2. Each participant should submit their recipes and the name of their dish for filing and printing purposes (Tile Card containing the name of the dish and a brief description of the dish entry).
3. All competitors are required to wear proper cooking attire such as an apron, hairnet and the like. Each of them must provide at least three (3) plain white kitchen towels.
4. Before the competition starts, each table will be checked by the committee to ensure that no items not listed in the recipe have been brought in.
5. All preparation and cooking of dishes, including plating and garnishing must be entirely made and crafted on the spot. Any participant who brings prepared and cooked items will be disqualified.
6. Every participant should prepare four (4) plates of their dish. One for display and three for tasting.
7. The participants will be a total of three (3) hours broken down into three (3) segments:
Segment 1 (30mins): Mise en place [mi zã ‘plas] and Preparation.
Segment 2 (2 hours): Cooking, plating, and final touches.
Segment 3 (30 mins): Clean up and organization of the competition area.
8. Three (3) major prizes will be given. Binalonan Longganisa Ultimate Chef, 1st Runner- Up and 2nd Runner- Up. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
 TASTE (40%)- Utilization of Binalonan Logganisa with a twist. The distinct taste of the main ingredient must not be sacrificed and overpowered by the rest of the ingredients.
 VISUAL APPEAL (25 %) – Contrast and ingenuity of plating and design.
 ORIGINALITY AND CREATIVITY OF THE RECIPE (25%) – the recipe is not copied from magazines, cookbooks, and other printed and online content.
 HYGIENE, CLEANLINESS, AND SANITATION(10%) – Cleanliness should be observed in each cooking station.
PRIZES
 CHAMPION: Php 5,000
 1st Runner-Up: Php 3,000
 2nd Runner-Up: Php 2,000

Our Halloween Costume Competition was nothing short of spectacular, with each contestant bringing their A-game—spooky, funny, and absolutely jaw-dropping outfits that left the crowd in awe! 👻🖤 From ghoulish glam to twisted fairytale characters, the costumes were a true testament to the imagination and artistry of our incredible participants.
