‘NAKAKAAWANG EXCUSE LETTER’

TINGNAN: Ibinahagi ng isang g**o sa social media ang "excuse letter" ng kaniyang estudyante na madalas lumiliban sa kaniyang klase.

Sa burado nang tweet, sinabi ni Teacher Em na sumulat ang ama ng estudyante para ipaliwanag ang hindi pagpasok ng anak.

“My learner, has been accumulating loads of absences since August (4Ps pa mandin). He has been absent for more than a week, and good thing he appeared last Thursday in time for our 1st Periodic Test. He gave me this letter, and this broke my heart," ayon sa g**o.

ROAD UNWORTHY VEHICLES

The Land Transportation Office LTO has vowed to conduct investigation on how vehicles, which are no longer roadworthy, get registration.

"Iimbestigahan ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) kung paanong naipaparehistro pa rin ang mga sasakyan na kakarag-karag o maituturing na hindi ligtas na bumiyahe sa lansangan," the agency stated.

Republic Act No. 10586

The law states that it shall be unlawful for any person to drive a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, dangerous drugs and/or other similar substances.

If the violation did not result in physical injuries or homicide - P20,000.00 to P80,000.00 fine and three months imprisonment

If the violation resulted in physical injuries - The penalty provided in Article 263 of the Revised Penal Code or the penalty provided in the next preceding paragraph whichever is higher and P100,000 to P200,000 shall be imposed.

If the violation has resulted in homicide - A penalty provided in Article 249 of the Revised Penal Code and a fine ranging from P300,000 to P500,000 shall be imposed.

FOR NON-PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS
1st Conviction - Confiscation and suspension of license for a 12-month period
2nd Conviction - Revocation of license
