The English Access Microscholarship Program (Access) provides a foundation of English language skills to talented 13-20 year-olds from economically disadvantaged sectors through after-school classes and intensive sessions. The program is funded by the Education and Cultural office of the US Embassy in Manila. Access gives participants English skills that may lead to better jobs and educational pro
spects. Participants also gain the ability to compete for and participate in future exchanges and study in the United States. One hundred and fifty (150) bright and talented high school students from three municipalities in Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur participate in the 2-year scholarship program. The Access program in Lanao is implemented by Synergeia Foundation in partnership with the municipalities of Kauswagan and Kolambugan, Lanao del Norte and Piagapo, Lanao del Sur.
