With the approval of our Chairman of the Board of Trustees and City Mayor Marcy Teodoro, an Institutional health break will be observed on Monday, 8 April 2024.

This break is strategically scheduled to afford our students, faculty, and employees the opportunity to recuperate following the demanding midterm examination period and the recent strain induced by the elevated heat index experienced in Metro Manila over the past few days.

Understanding the paramount importance of prioritizing your well-being, the PLMar administration hopes that this additional day off, strategically placed after the weekend and before the forthcoming holiday of Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9, will offer you the chance to recharge and savor a well-deserved long weekend.

In light of the imminent Nationwide Transport Strike scheduled for Monday, October 16, 2023, the City Government of Marikina, in view of ensuring the safety and convenience of students and the general public, hereby announces the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels, both in private and public educational institutions within our jurisdiction. As such, classes will transition to asynchronous learning for the aforementioned date.

Classes are suspended today, September 22 (Friday), starting 10:00 AM and whole day tomorrow, September 23 (Saturday) due to health risks posed by the Volcanic Smog coming from the Taal Volcano.

Work in all offices is also suspended starting at 12:00nn.

As precautionary measures, please:

1. Stay indoors and close all doors and windows. Leave only when absolutely necessary.

2. Wear your face mask as general precaution.

3. Drink lots of water to avoid throat irritation.

4. Go to the hospital and consult with your doctor once you experience difficulty breathing and/or eye irritation.
