Ngayong araw, April 9 ay ipinagdiriwang natin ang "Araw ng Kagitingan" bilang paggunita sa mga Pilipinong sundalo at mamamayang Pilipino na lumaban sa ikalawang digmaang pandaigdig. Ito ang araw na nagsisilbing pag-alala sa mga bayani ng Bataan at Corregidor na nagpakita ng kagitingan at tapang sa pakikipaglaban sa harap ng mga dayuhang mananakop. Inaalala rin natin at pinapahalagahan ang tapang at sakripisyo ng mga bayani na nagbigay ng buhay para sa kalayaan at dignidad ng ating minamahal na bansang Pilipinas.
