SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS THIS AFTERNOON, JULY 25

To ensure the safety and general welfare of the children and residents of Iloilo City, I approve the recommendation of the Emergency Operations Center to suspend face-to-face classes in all levels in both public and private educational institutions in the City of Iloilo this afternoon, July 25.

Based on available data and science-based monitoring tools, Iloilo City will be windy and cloudy with locally heavy rainfall particularly in the afternoon and the evening. Expect cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorm due to Typhoon Egay and Southwest Monsoon.

Chance of rain: 100%.
Amount of expected rainfall: 50 mm. Moderate to heavy (2.5 mm to 15 mm per hour) rainfall is expected this afternoon.
Winds from SW at 25-40kph will prevail.
Seas rough to very rough.
