Military Encounters Anew the Fleeing NPA in Panay

About 04:40 PM today, 04 March 2024, government troops of 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion encountered the fleeing elements of the Southern Panay Front, Komiteng Rehiyon - Panay in the hinter lands of Barangay Igsolique, Maig-ao, Iloilo.

PRO6's MARKS HIGH-IMPACT OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN A WEEK

ILOILO CITY- Police Regional Office 6 delivers high-impact accomplishments in a one-week anti-criminality operation from February 26 to March 3, 2024.

In the campaign against illegal drugs from February 26 to March 3, 2024, this PRO has conducted 40 operations, 55 drug personalities were arrested, and confiscated more or less 2,064.84 grams of suspected shabu, with a total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 14,041,032.00.

This week’s performance is an improvement that of the previous week that was recorded only 39 operations were conducted, 56 drug personalities were apprehended and confiscated more or less 1,058.8 grams of suspected shabu, with a total Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 7, 201,640.00.

On the other hand, other anti-criminality operations yielded positive results wherein, in the campaign against Wanted Persons, 81 operations were conducted, with 81 wanted persons arrested. Of the 81 wanted persons, 17 were categorized as Most Wanted Persons (MWP) and 64 as Other Wanted Persons (OWP).

In the campaign against loose fi****ms, the following are the gains of PRO6: operations conducted-9; persons arrested-9; fi****ms confiscated=11 in all police units for the same period.
On illegal gambling, 17 operations were conducted, which resulted in the arrest of 53 individuals and the confiscation of bet money amounting to Php 21,629.00.

In the campaign against illegal fishing, there 14 operations conducted that resulted in the apprehension of 23 individuals.

In ISO accomplishments, neutralized CTG PSR Listed-1 died in operations; neutralized CTG Non-PSR Listed-3 died in operation; surrendered-2; withdrawal of support-2; surrendered/recovered FAs-11; and surrendered/recovered explosives-5.

Furthermore, the collaborative efforts between the police and the Philippine Army are essential in combating terrorism and insurgency in the region. Hence, it is worthy to note that the armed encounter in Brgy. Torocadan, San Joaquin, Iloilo last February 28, 2024, between the government troops and the members of the Communist Terrorist Group has led to the confiscation of four (4) M16 rifles and AK-47 rifles, magazines, ammunitions, bandoliers, personal belongings, and the neutralization of three (3) CTG members.

PBGEN Jack L W***y, PRO6's top cop, commended all PRO6 personnel for the accomplishment. “I thank all personnel of PRO6 and those who contribute to the attainment of the PNP mission. We can accomplish so much in our campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, loose fi****ms, the accounting of wanted persons, and Internal Security Operations through our shared efforts. We are sending a strong message to those people engaging in illegal activities that PRO6 will not stop; we will go further in our commitment to fight criminality here in Western Visayas. Keep improving your performance. Continuously improve keep getting better in your assigned task and always remember that there is a room for improvement. Also, be committed to make gradual but consistent changes everyday until we reach the peak of excellence and let us strive to be the best among other PNP units and let us not be complacent of our previous accomplishments but must be thrilled to hurdle greater endeavors. May kabuuang 459 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) na inilipat mula sa New Bilibid Prison sa Muntinlupa City ang dumating sa Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm (IPPF) sa Puerto Princesa, Palawan nitong Sabado.

Umabot na sa 1,254 ang kabuuang bilang ng mga PDL na inilipat sa ibang operating prison at penal farm ng Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) simula Enero ng taong ito.

TINGNAN:

Malugod na tinanggap ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) ang bago nitong C-130H tactical transport aircraft na may water cannon salute nang lumapag ito sa Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga nitong Biyernes, Feb. 16.

Ang C-130H na ito ay pangalawa sa dalawang C-130 aircraft na ipinagkaloob ng U.S. government sa pamamagitan ng Excess Defense Articles (EDA) Program.

Ayon sa PAF, ang karagdagan ito ay magpapalakas sa cargo airlift fleet ng PAF at susuporta sa humanitarian assistance, disaster relief operations, at iba't ibang military missions.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦:

The Department of Tourism (DOT) Regional Office in Western Visayas warmly welcomed Chinese tourists aboard the budget airline Royal Air Philippines that recently launched its new routes from several cities in China to Aklan Province and vice versa.

These additional flights to the home of the famed Boracay Island connect major cities of China including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, and Ningbo.

The updated routes operate on the following schedules: Shanghai-Caticlan route every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; Beijing-Caticlan with three flights a week; Nanjing-Caticlan operating every Monday, Wednesday and Friday; and Chengdu-Caticlan every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

These new flights come in time for the Chinese New Year celebration. Soon, Royal Air will also introduce the Ningbo-Caticlan route beginning February 2. This route will offer five flights a week.
