Today’s Wanders: The Beginning

Hey there! If you’re reading this, you’re probably curious as to what this whole page is all about and probably who I am and stuff like that.

I’d like to introduce myself first. I’m Alex. I’m 21 years old as of the date that I post this. I’m from the Philippines. I graduated with a degree in Communication Arts from De La Salle University. that’s like the typical info that I would give haha but aside from those there’s some not-so-usual facts about me, I love travel photography, I love crime and mystery tv shows, I’m a Marvel stan, I’m also a kpop stan and I’ve been bitten by the travel bug, thus began my passion for wanting to explore the world whether it be in the Philippines domestically or countries outside.

My first ever airplane experience was in 2003 in Boracay, Philippines when I was about 5 years old then from there, I was traveling whether with my Mom or the whole family. My first trip out of the Philippines was in the most common destination for first timers in the Philippines - Hong Kong haha, in 2004 with the whole family from grandparents to cousins. As of June 2019, I’ve been to 18 countries and in some of them, I’ve been there twice or thrice already namely USA, Singapore, Korea, Japan and Hong Kong.

Today’s Wanders is a travel diary series that I started in July 2017 wherein I upload 2-4 minute videos of the daily adventures that happen depending on the trip. My style is compressing a day’s worth of events and activities into a background music that somehow fits the vibe of the place. Surprisingly, this whole Today’s Wanders started out as a final project for one of my majors in school. We were tasked to come up with anything for our final project and I randomly decided on doing vlogs. The first 3 episodes were naturally embarrassing for me because I was still confused with the whole process and I just found it all awkward in general. But then, I realized that that awkwardness was actually going to be the thing that would help me improve.
