The CONSUMERS CHOICE AWARD (CCA) and the GOLD SEAL OF QUALITY (GSQ) AWARD are prestigious consumers recognitions conferred on QUALITY PRODUCTS & COMPANIES which envisions to significantly enhance the “marketing value and consumers appeal” of the product / corporate awardees based on random consumer opinions and survey. Consumer products which may have originated in other countries but are being used by Filipino consumers are qualified to receive the recognitions. The NATIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS FOUNDATION (NCAF) is a non-profit private foundation registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) which aims at serving the interests and welfare of the consumers. One of the major projects of NCAF is conferring recognitions on Outstanding Products & Companies which have been of providing services to the consumers thru their services and/or product / corporate features and quality. NOMINATION & SCREENING PROCEDURES
The awardees are selected initially through year-round ONLINE NOMINATION of possible nominees and/or awardees in the www.consumersaward.com website. Any individual, consumer and/or civic group can participate in the nomination, followed by random consumer survey and research. Random Opinion Polls, including telephone polls and casual consumer opinions and inquiries in popular product outlets (such as malls, supermarkets, drug stores, etc.) are being further conducted by a NCAF Research Team who monitor or visit the nominees “incognito.” (Nominator is announced during the Awarding Night.) The following are the GENERAL AWARDS CRITERIA in selecting the official consumer awardees, based on percentages:

(2) Contribution to Public Service - 20%
(3) Public Opinion & Survey - 25%
(4) Pricing - 20%

The honorees are determined by consumers, basically through random consumers surveys supervised by the AD HOC CONSUMERS CHOICE AWARDS COMMITTEE organized by the NATIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS FOUNDATION (NCAF) and the CONSUMERS CHOICE AWARDS COUNCIL, the members of whom are confidential and come from civic, business, religious and major sectors of the society. Similarly, the finalists in various categories, such as Outstanding Fastfood Chain, Outstanding Herbal Coffee, Outstanding Television Brand, Outstanding Supermarket, Outstanding Real Estate Developer and other corporate / product categories, as matter of Awards Policies, are not revealed, except for the official winners or honorees of the tribute. The tribute is organized by the NATIONAL CONSUMER AFFAIRS FOUNDATION (NCAF) jointly with the ASIA-PACIFIC AWARDS COUNCIL (APAC).
