[A MUST READ FOR A PARENT]
Father was a hardworking man who delivered bread as a living to support his wife and three children. He spent all his evenings after work attending classes, hoping to improve himself so that he could one day find a better paying job. Except for Sundays, Father hardly ate a meal together with his family. He worked and studied very hard because he wanted to provide his family with the best money could buy.
Whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them, he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.
The day came when the examination results were announced. To his joy, Father passed, and with distinctions too! Soon after, he was offered a good job as a senior supervisor which paid handsomely.
Like a dream come true, Father could now afford to provide his family with life's little luxuries like nice clothing, fine food and vacation abroad.
However, the family still did not get to see father for most of the week. He continued to work very hard, hoping to be promoted to the position of manager. In fact, to make himself a worthily candidate for the promotion, he enrolled for another course in the open university.
Again, whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them, he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.
Father's hard work paid off and he was promoted. Jubilantly, he decided to hire a maid to relieve his wife from her domestic tasks. He also felt that their three-room flat was no longer big enough, it would be nice for his family to be able to enjoy the facilities and comfort of a condominium. Having experienced the rewards of his hard work many times before, Father resolved to further his studies and work at being promoted again. The family still did not get to see much of him. In fact, sometimes Father had to work in Sundays entertaining clients. Again, whenever the family complained that he was not spending enough time with them, he reasoned that he was doing all this for them. But he often yearned to spend more time with his family.
As expected, Father's hard work paid off again and he bought a beautiful condominium over-looking the coast of Singapore. On the first Sunday evening at their new home, Father declared to his family that he decided not to take anymore courses or pursue any more promotions. From then on he was going to devote more time to his family.
Father did not wake up the next day.***

Let us not miss the whole point why we are working in the first place.
We work in order to make money so we can spend and enjoy it with our family.
What's the point of making more money if the cost is our relationship with our family.
Hopefully, we don't end up like the father, who worked so hard to establish his family financially, yet at the moment he decided to spend time with his family, it was too late.
Believe me, in my years of mentoring people, I have never witnessed a rich man on his dying bed ever say, "How I wish I could have spent more time in my office".
Connect, converse and take time to be with your family. Your parents, your spouse, even your kids are far more precious than your ambition to climb the corporate ladder of success, or pursuit for millions in business.
Consider this: "What will profit a man, if he earns all the millions, but loses his most valuable possession - his family?"

I'm convinced that for most people, the "opportunity of a lifetime" comes around every couple of weeks. Most of the time they don't recognize it, because it's disguised as work and clouded by challenges. But the opportunity is there and the potential is huge. It takes the right mindset to recognize it. I've noticed something else about opportunities...
Broke people wait for opportunities. Prosperous people make them!

There is a connection between wisdom and limiting what we say. Proverbs 10:19 says, "In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise." We are wise to be careful about what we say or how much we say in certain situations. It makes sense to guard our words when we are angry.
When others are grieving, our silent presence may help more than abundant expressions of sympathy. Although there is a time to be quiet and a time to speak, choosing to speak less allows us to hear more. Let your speech be better than silence; otherwise be silent.

Never lose sight of your dreams. Start dreaming again! It does not matter how messed up your past may be. It does not matter what you have gone through in life. It does not matter what limitations you may have or what excuses you may come up with. These are all in the past and your past does not define you. It is who you want to be that defines who you really are.
You have to cultivate the attitude that says "If they can do it, so can I!" You do not have to accept your present circumstances and situation in life. Do not look at challenges and difficulties as permanent fixtures in your life, they are only temporary things. Be reminded that the best things in life are yet to come. So never give up on your dreams.

DALANG DALA KA NA BA SA MGA MAMBOBOLA?
Are you a lady na madalas maloko ng lalake? Yung paulit ulit na lang na iniiwan na nagkakamali at pumapasok sa maling relationship? Yung iniisip mo na maganda ka naman at mabait pero bakit walang tumatagal na relationship sayo? Binibigay mo naman ang lahat pero pag nakuha na ng lalake ang gusto nila sayo eh binabalewala ka na nila?
Ang sagot sa tanong mo eh simple lang. Uto uto ka kasi! Yun bang konting puri lang sayo eh kumakagat ka na. Yun lang sabihin sayo na ikaw na ang pinakamagandang babae sa balat ng lupa eh feeling mo naman na ikaw na ang pinakamaswerteng babae sa buong mundo. Ang dahilan nyan eh hindi mo kasi nakikita ang value sa sarili mo. Wala kang pinagkaiba sa isang bata na inofferan ng candy at tinanggap naman agad agad.
Ang solusyon?
1. KILALANIN MO ANG SARILI MO. Pag mababa ang tingin o pagva-value mo sa sarili mo eh malakeng chance na mababa din ang quality ng taong makakapareha mo. Always remember, what you are is what you attract.
2. HUWAG GAWING LIBANGAN ANG PAGPASOK SA RELASYON. Huwag gawing inspirasyon sa buhay ang relationship. Maraming tao kasi ang hindi naman talaga nagmamahal ng totoo kundi gusto lang nila yung idea ng "being in a relationship" or "being in-love". Andyan kasi ang kilig at excitement pero tandaan, sa una lang yan.
3. LET GOD INTERFERE WITH YOUR LOVELIFE. Madalas kasi satin eh hindi tayo nagpapaconsult ke Lord kung tama ba yung relationship na papasukin natin kaya in the end eh nagkakanda lintik lintik tayo. God is the author of our love story. Tandaan na lahat ng bagay na minamadale eh hindi nagiging ok ang ending, tulad na lang sa pagluluto at pagsusulat.
I want everyone who is reading this to be wise when it comes to love and relationship. And when the right opportunity comes in God's perfect timing that you'll be in the right relationship, just continue to let God be the third party of your relationship!

Focus on growing spiritually, not religiously. I consider myself as a spiritual person, but not religious. Why? What is the difference? Religiosity is trying to do something to gain the merit and favor of God, while spiritually is knowing that God already did something for us by sending His Son to die for us - in order to save us.
Since I am so indebted with God's love, I want to do good, not because I need to earn His favor but as a sign of my love and gratitude to Him. I also acknowledge that apart from Him, I am nothing. I cannot do much in life without His wisdom, favor and guidance.

A recent study I read concluded that smiling can be good for your health. Research shows that smiling slows down the heart and reduces stress. But smiling isn't just good for you; a genuine smile blesses those on the receiving end as well. Without saying a word, it can tell others that you like them and that you are pleased with them. A smile can hug someone with love without giving them even the slightest touch.
Life does not always give us a reason to smile. But when we see a heartfelt smile on a child's face or through aged wrinkles, our hearts are encouraged.
Smiles are also a hint of the image of God in us. In the ancient blessing recorded in the book of Numbers we get an indication that God "smiles": "The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace (Num. 6:25-26). Those words are a Hebrewe idiom for the favor of God on a persons life, asking God to smile on His children.
So today, remember that you are loved by God, and that He is pleased to be gracious to you and to shine His face upon you. Your smile could be a message of cheer from God to a needy soul.

Making money is not only an issue of resource problem, but it is an idea problem as well. Here's what I realized in life. Some people remain poor not because of the lack of money or opportunities, but because of the lack of knowledge and ideas.
Becoming rich does not happen because you have lots of money. But it happens when you have acquired knowledge and great ideas.
Let me encourage you: do your very best to acquire new knowledge because it can lead you to new ideas. New ideas can open up to new oppotunities. New opportunities can help you create lots of money.

Don't you know that we are not just blessed because God loves us. We are blessed to be also a blessing to other people, for God loves everyone of us. Just imagine how God uses other people to help you. And it is more fulfilling knowing how God uses you as a channel of blessing to other people.
Many people doesn't understand what tithing is and its difference between offering. That's why I encourage church leaders to talk to their group about money and finances specially in the field of tithing and offering.
