And because I love love love love colors (Pantone is my reference), and was a subscriber of Martha Stewart Weddings - the presentation of cakes, bouquets, and favors... just Wow! Anyway, so I started the project. Through: word of mouth, submission to W@W Network (weddingsatwork.com), Wedding Essentials Magazine and assistance from the famous Davao wedding photographer Val Adonis San Diego, who was a friend of my classmate Mae Obat. He photographed my samples for free, and recommended me to clients who needed additional emergency invitation cards. My first clients were Ms. Sharon and her then fiance Mr. I learned so much from them - they are just an unforgettable couple. Many clients followed. Majority were Pinays engaged to foreigner. Janice Santos-Remolona is also an unforgotten friend. She was a classmate, and because of her unconditional support to my business, she even brought home a wedding invitation cards catalog from her US holiday. I stopped the business when I moved to Kabacan, Cotabato. In Kabacan, I was a faculty member of a university. Fast forward. I miss the business. I miss the unique colors of papers for wedding invitation cards - copper, antique gold, silver, gold, etc. I miss the smell of stacks of elegant papers. I miss the smile of a couple when they receive their cards. Here I am. Reviving it. With much better equipment.
