It’s about the story and survival in concentration and extermination camps during the holocaust in Poland in Auschwitz.

There are 3 phases of mental reactions to camp/prisoners life: Shock, Apathy and the psychology of the prisoners after his liberation.

While reading this, I can’t imagine the suffering they all been through… and in this book it will also enlighten you that even in those times of suffering, you will also find the meaning and purpose of life.

If you are also into psychology, it will explain about psychoanalysis and it’s difference to Logotheraphy. There are just some hard to understand psychology terms/explanations on the last part of the book.

Here are some lines that I love in this book: ( I cannot put everything kasi super dami actually hehe)

1. “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms-to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

2. “An active life serves the purpose of giving man the opportunity to realize values in creative work, while a passive life of enjoyment affords him the opportunity to obtain fulfillment in experiencing beauty, art or nature.”

3. “the meaning of life, differ from man to man and from moment to moment. Thus it is impossible to define the meaning of life in general way.”

Please feel free to comment your reactions and learnings while reading this book. ❤️

LOVE FOR IMPERFECT THINGS BOOK by HAEMIN SUNIM :

Is it just me or some of you are also like me that whenever I’m reading Haemin Sunim books, it feels like I’m in a peaceful area…a cool wind blowing my face with a beautiful view of nature, mountain and streams of water? Aaah! So relaxing! 🌿🍀

Plus, I love all the artworks from his books! 😍 The artwork from this book is by Lisk Feng, his other book, The things you can only see only when you slow down is by Youngcheol Lee 👏

Here are some of the lessons we can all learn from this book:

“ The true winner is the one who is happy with his life.”

“When we become kinder to ourselves, we can become kinder to the world.”

“ what if we are just measuring ourseleves against socieety’s yardstick of success?”

“Because I have experienced pain, I am able to embrace the pain of others. Because I have made mistakes, I am able to forgive others their mistakes. May my suffering become the seed of compassion”

“Who is an unfortunate person? One who looks at other people and sees only their flaws.”

“It’s okay that you have flaws. How could our lives be as clean and white as a blank sheet of paper? Life naturally takes its toll on our bodies, our minds, and our relationships. rather than choosing a life in which you do nothing for fear of making a mistake, choose a life that improves through failure and pain. And shout out loud to your struggling self, I love you so much”

“The reason we think we are better than others is that inferiority still lurks within us. A sense of superiority exists because of a sense of inferiority.”

“Don’t judge people based on how they appear, as they may have difficulties that nobody can see.”

“Don’t assume another bus will be coming.Sometimes the route will have changed, and you will never get another chance to catch the bus you missed. If an opportunity is presented to you, don’t give in to your fear. Muster your courage and get on that bus.”

“Instead of postponing your happiness until you’ve achieved your goal, live a little and enjoy the moment.Life is passing you by while you are waiting.”

“Even if you have everything you’ve ever wanted, you won’t be happy if you’re always striving for more or better. Happiness comes when our hearts are peaceful and content, and when we learn to appreciate what we already have.”

“When you feel disappointed, and you see it’s because you expected something from someone else, consider why it is that you often rely on others to make you happy. Why is your self-reliance so low? Does it maybe relate to how you were brought up, or to a past trauma? Do you have a strong need for approval or attention from others? If you often feel disappointed in yourself, ask why you hold yourself to such a high standard. Are your expectations reasonable? When you understand yourself better, you might find it easier to deal with disappointment, and to accept and love yourself.”

UNTETHERED SOUL BOOK:

In this book we need to dig deep down our soul to be fully healed. And it will take time…but as long as we will never give up on ourselves and if we want to be truly free, we can attain it. ❤️🌿🍀📚

Some of my favorite lines or you can learn from this book:

1. Stress only happens when you resist life’s events.

2. You want to qualify it. You want to say that as long as this doesn’t happen, or as long as that does happen, then you’re willing to be happy ; That’s why it seems like it is out of your control.

3. Any condition you create will limit your happiness. You simply aren’t going to be able to control things and keep them the way you want them.

4. You just live your life without getting uptight and worrying about it. You actually live life instead of fearing or fighting it.

5. Relieve your mind of the job of making sure that everyone and everything will be the way nyou want them to be so that you can feel better inside.

6. Whenever it starts up telling you what you should or shouldn’t do in order to get the world to match your preconceived concepts, don’t listen.

7. The spiritual journey is one of constant transformation. In order to grow, you must give up the struggle to remain the same, and learn to embrace change at all times.

8. That’s why you have to worry so much. That’s why you have all these dialogues going on insiden your mind. You’re either trying to figure out how to keep things from happening, or you’re trying to figure out what to do because they did happen. You are fighting with creation, and that’s what makes creation itself the most frightening thing in your life.

9. The alternative is to decide not to fight with life. You realize and accept that life is not under our control. Life is continuously changing, and if you’re trying to control it, you’ll never be able to fully live it. Instead of living life, you’ll be afraid of life. But once you’vee decided not to fight with life, you’ll have to face the fear that was causing you to fight.

10. Defining how they need life to be in order to be okay. This is how the world becomes frightening. Because you resist these changes, you feel that byou are struggling with life.

11. If you protect yourself perfectly, you will never grow. A good day means you made it through withot getting hurt. The longer you live like this, the more closed you become.

12. If you want to understand stress, begin by realizing that byou carry around with you your own set of preconceived notions of how things should be.

This book helped me a lot with my overthinking and to remain calm when anxiety creeps in…🌿🍀

I can say that I am more at peace with myself and the world 😅

I super love this book and I hope this will also help you to realize a lot of things the way it helped me. ❤️

Here are some of the lines that I liked from this book:

“Change the things that can be changed, accept those that cannot, and have the wisdom to know the difference.”

“We take our own goals so seriously that we forget to have fun along the way, and we forget to cut ourselves some slack.”

“So many people spend so much of their life energy 'sweating the small stuff' that they completely lose touch with the magic and beauty of life.”

“So many people spend so much of their life energy 'sweating the small stuff' that they completely lose touch with the magic and beauty of life.”

“ we focus on little problems and concerns and blow them way out of proportion.”

“ The solution here is to catch yourself when you fall into your habit of insisting that things should be other than they are. Gently remind yourself that life is okay the way it is, right now.”

“When you have what you want ( inner peace), you are less distracted by your wants, needs, desires and concerns.”

“If you’re obsessed with getting everything done, you;ll never have a sense of well-being! In reality, almost everything can wait.”

“ The purpose of life isn’t to get it all done but to enjoy each step along the way and live a life filled with love.”

“Don’t waste any more precious moments of your life regretting the inevitable.”

“Much of our anxiety and inner struggle stems from our busy, overactive minds always needing something to focus on, and always wondering, what’s next?”

“Life is filled with opportunities to choose between making a big deal out of something or simply letting it go, realizing it doesn’t really matter.”

“The tiniest disagreement or glitch in your plans can be made into a big deal if your goal ( conscious or unconscious) is to have everything work out in your favor.”

Bo Sanchez will always be one of my favorite motivational author and speaker. His books and magazines helped me a lot since I was in highschool. And in this book, these are my favorite lines/sentences/quotes.

1. If we want to be happy, we need to overcome our fears

2. We have a God who has given us all the resources we need to fulfill the dreams He has planted in our hearts

3. Dreams excite. Big dreams attract more energy, more attention and more resources

4. Happy people create their future. It’s not created for them. They deliberately choose what they want to do and where they want to go.

5. God has bigger blessings in store for you outside your walls

6. What you see with your heart today, you will see with your eyes tomorrow

7. Happy relationships don’t just happen. You make them happen. Deliberately nurture them to have a happy relationship

8. If you want your life to change, then you have to change.

9. Big dreams require that you embrace big changes

10. Faith believes that good things will happen and feat believes that bad things will happen. Fear expects problems. Faith expects blessings. And the universe adjust to your expectations.

11. God’s blessings are limitless. See the dream, sow the dream, surrender the dream to Him.

12. To know your purpose in life as these questions: What do you love to do? Where do you excel? Then that is your anointing to serve others and to bless the world.

13. Put you 80% of your attention, time & energy on developing your strength not in your weakness and 20% to develop new strengths

14. When one door closes, another door opens.
