Fake reviews on Google - and many other review sites - are becoming a big problem. It's understandable that some unscrupulous businesses may engage people to write fake reviews for competitors (and sometimes these are hard to identify as being fake) but it's difficult to understand why people would waste their time writing fake reviews for mountains and oceans - most of them are not funny at all.

This is an interesting post by Australian Darren Rowse, who runs the ProBlogger blog, in which he reveals that his total earnings from Adsense and Amazon Associates affiliate fees has exceeded US$3 million over 13.5 years of blogging.
